Last night’s NAACP candidates’ forum in Santa Ana drew a crowd of about fifty to sixty observers and a bevy of candidates from all over the county. I was not there, as I attended the Education Alliance dinner in Irvine (more on that later this evening when I have more time to post). However, I spoke to several participants.
George Collins, who is running for Ward 6 on the Santa Ana City Council, filmed the proceedings with an assist from Orange Juice blogger Tim Whitacre. He is going to burn a DVD for the NAACP to distribute to their OC members.
By all accounts, Thomas Gordon, another Orange Juice blogger and candidate for the Santa Ana Mayor’s office, acquitted himself quite well. He received numerous accolades, and he stayed afterwards to talk to the NAACP members in attendance. His opponent, incumbent Miguel Pulido, was a no-show.
Other candidates from Santa Ana who were there included Jose Solorio, Sal Tinajero, Michele Martinez and Jennifer Villasenor. There were also candidates there from as far away as Brea. Ryan Williams was not there as I dragged him along with me to the dinner I went to.

Make a copy for the libraries. Bring a few to the canidate forum tonight. Sale them on E-bay.
What I am trying to say is I would like to see the show too.
Cook is right…i think you could make a lot of money selling them on E-Bay!
