We are all so focused on stopping John Lewis from getting Carlos Bustamante elected to the Board of Supervisors that we have forgotten the last wrong that Lewis wrought against us – getting O.C. Sheriff Mike Carona reelected – barely. Now longtime Carona critic Karen Finn has taken it upon herself to right that wrong. She has started a petition to recall Carona.
Ironically, the man we thought was going to be involved in the recall of Carona, Tim Whitacre, is now working with Lewis on the Bustamante campaign. Me thinks he won’t be doing much to disturb the Lewis cabal now.
Martin Wisckol wrote in the register that “According to the county’s recall manual, 10 percent of all registered voters have to sign such a petition. That means 150,000 signatures. She had 32 when I checked a minute ago.”

Yeah…..Lets have everyone who wants to recall Mike Carona immediately sign an online petition.
Good news for recall proponents, the clock isn’t actually ticking because I don’t believe anyone has actually filed and served the recall. It is one thing to put up a website with an online petition and it is another to actually serve Mike Carona with notice of recall.
Good for Karen! It’s about time that someone does something about that good-for-nothing, corrupt excuse for a sheriff!

Thank you Art for posting this. Sheriff Carona and the good people of Orange County are my main focus right now and always have been until he is out of office. No matter if you a Republican or a Democrat Sheriff Carona gives the name Orange County Sheriff a bad one. Of course Carona has to be in office for 90 days. And of course the re-call starts when I submit my paper work to the ROV, so I need every bit of Orange County when that happens. I will need a Darrell Issa then, that
I’m #64 and proud to be a signer. I’ve joined the whole Carona dispute late and have to catch up on past events, so my biggest beef has been how he’s treated Bill Hunt. Unbelieveable. It certainly sends a (bad) message to any other would-be candidates.

Judging from the picture, if Carona is recalled he could always switch to being a pimp. The look suits him!
