The last two weeks has seen an incredible push by major media
to focus on the Hillary/Obama race or the McCain/Romney and
maybe Thompson chances. The Iowa Caucus is behind us as well
as the New Hampshire primaries. It is on to South Carolina,
Nevada and Florida…and the whole focus has been related to
how crazy Ron Paul is….and how impossible it will be for
Rudy Giuliani to come back from the current leaders. Then
the buzz moves to Iranian Ocean Racing Hot Dog boats threatening
American Ships of the line. Through all of these “top stories”
including the awful death of a Georgia hiker by another weirdo
of mass proportions……the true threats to our world and our
country seems to be given page 22 coverage..if that.
Countrywide Financial was going belly up…and that domino
could have set off a tremendous worldwide depression! Oh, we
are “over-reacting” again…you say. Well, Bank of America
just ran out and borrowed some cash from their consortium of
affiliated banks….and picked up Countrywide Financial at the
bargain price of a little over $4 Billion bucks. As we have
said so many times: “We live in a global economy!” One domino
falls and stand back and wait for the other 10,000 to do the
same – in record time! There is virtually a huge cash crunch
now…and it ain’t looking any better – real soon!
As Government Pensions and Business Pensions fall like stones..
and create a “cash crunch”….where is the money going to come
from to buy “capital goods”? Borrow, you say! Great idea…
just borrow and borrow and borrow….and have 296 Countries
create cash out of thin air. Just keep the economy moving…or
rather..keep betting on Double Zero on the home Roulette Wheel.
One thing is for sure…..our Presidential Candidates from each
and every party….are not discussing the Sub-Prime Real Estate
Crisis, the Fall of Pension values, the giant mergers and very
dangerous acquisitions…that are coming forward. Soon, all the
Insurance Companies will wind up in the hands of just one or
two major Institutional Power Brokers! The ramifications of
this will be another round of unscrupulous activities…which
call for more pain for the common man and throughout the world.
There is nothing like having NO Competition in the financial
world….this is called “cornering the market”….and our guess
is that it will not be pretty.
So where is Hillary on this crisis? Where is Obama on this crisis?
Where is Romney, McCain, Giuliani, Thompson or Paul? Do they have
any ideas at all? Will Bernanke lower interest rates…until they
start “Paying You” to borrow money? Will the “Connectivity” of
Insurance Companies, Pension Plans and Banks implode without any
Governments intervening in the process? Are we all going to just
have to sit and watch: Jerry Springer, Child Molesters, Mass and
Quasi-mass Murders hit the nightly news every night? Will we have
to listen to Presidential Candidates promise that we will all have
“Universal Healthcare” for free? Or that we are going give every
human being on the planet..food stamps…in order to save us from
“Worldwide Terrorism”?
We can see “Symptoms”, we can see “Illness”, we can see “Investment
Re-organization – Like Blackstone betting on Hedge Funds that are
supporting the “End of Times”. But where are the “Therapies” for
Economic illness? Where are the “Cures”? What, this is going to
be more difficult that finding the answer to Cancer? If in fact
there is no more building going on, no more buying go on – of real
estate we do have and we are facing a massive reduction in jobs
which support the economy at large…..How come our Presidential
Candidate’s..aren’t coming up with cures? Ron Paul seems to think
by hunkering down behind gated communities…..in a world sense..
and not helping Israel or anyone else, bringing the troops home
and not paying anyone that he doesn’t like….our world will be
saved! Not likely sir….you definitely are starting to believe
your own fund-raisers…and these are just marketing people not
policy wonks! How about John Edwards? What is his cure for a
“broken economy”. They all seem to think: “McCain, Romney, Clinton,
Paul, Obama and Thompson……that “Government is broken”..and it
needs “Change”! OK, we are up for it! What change great minds?
You see…we live in a Global Economy….and unless those that
we elect can understand that….why are they even running for
President? Having any of them say…”that the American people
will need to sacrifice to save us”..is undoubtedly the most
outrageous insult of all!!! Call a banker bunky, get an answer
or trade in that guy – for someone that does make sense and
make that corrective action ….immediate!

What you so glaringly, and revealingly, fail to ask is “Where is our President in this crisis”?
Every hundred years or so we need a great depression. To remind us mere mortals that we are not Gods.
Perhaps it is something in the water down in Newport, or whatever it is, but the RAW postings are acually beginning to make sense.
Withthat in mind, perhaps one of you can try and answer Anon #1’s question. If it were not for that monkey at the helm, we all wouldn’t be in this impending REAL crisis. Who knows, maybe it has alredy enveloped us?
None of the leading candidates for Pres have or will address the current state of affairs because their handlers won’t let them present a true reality to the American people. Let the people feast on catch phrases and phantom menaces because that is what all those lemmings that voted for the current president eat up anyway. I sure bet those voting dolts can recite to you the intricacies of the latest survivor episodes though…
Mergers and acquisitions.., mmmm, is it the eighties all over again?
If so then, yes, we are already into a recession, though, with the magnitude of the preceeding free-for-all years in the industry world, we are most likely headed now into a real depression. Whoever the next Pres might be, that person will be burdoned with the stigma of having lead the country during a depression even though only the smart folks will know who actually caused it.
Name me one Presidential candidate that is advocating “Universal Healthcare” for free”?
And don’t tell me Dennis Kucinich…single-payer does NOT=free.
Crisis Management is an interesting
concept all by itself. Only Reagan
was able to somehow…”personality
kid” his way out of Iran-Contra
and the Invasion of Grenada. Every
other Bush, Carter, LBJ or Clinton
has failed miserably to talk their
way out of stupidity.
So where is George? George is
actually being a good physican
and trying to do “No Harm”. Which
of course means…putting a nice
clean dressing on the the nasty wound and telling everyone to “Call
me in the morning!”
“Single Payer” is such bull…who
do we all pay – The Government?
Or some surrogate…called Blue
Cross..who takes 35% for doing
nothing but processing the paperwork? Each person requires
different Healthcare. If you are
a 35 year old single mom with three
kids…who needs healthcare more
than her? If you are 86 years old
and have retired for the last 30
years….and can afford full coverage….how much does the
Government pay? One size can not
and should not fit all….when it
comes to Healthcare. If you are
an illegal immigrant with six kids
…who should pay for your healthcare? Right now…every person that has Medical Insurance
does! Who should?
By the way…thanks for the great
comments…all are very good!
#5,
You failed to come up with the name of a candidate who is advocating “Universal Healthcare for free”.
So come up with a name, or spare us the misinformation from the right-wing noise machine.
