Saddleback H.S. Teachers Aide Arrested

Posted by: Sean H. Mill  :  Category: Children, Education, SAUSD, Santa Ana, crime

Alonso Manuel Gonzalez, a teachers aide at Saddleback High School, was arrested on November 17th on charges of a “lewd act with dependent adult by caretaker”.  Gonzalez works with disabled and special needs students at the south Santa Ana high school.  I had been approached about this story earlier in the week via email and was looking into it, however Gustavo Arrellano of the OC Weekly broke it first.

You can read Gustavo’s story on this disturbing incident by clicking here.

Jane Russo recently said (just last week!) that no sexual predators would be tolerated in the SAUSD schools on her watch during a Superintendent Cabinet Meeting. In addition, Juan Lopez from HR detailed what to look for in a sexual predator and to immediately contact him. Interestingly enough, Juan Lopez has been harboring and covering up for Alonso Gonzalez for approximately 4 years.

Saddleback has not yet sent out notifications to parents alerting them to the child molestation problem to ask if their child has been at risk. Only in Santa Ana, under the direction of Jane Russo, would keep this school district development be kept secret to the parents of children who cannot possibly speak up for themselves.
    This is an outrage!

The teachers’ assistants have been told to remain silent on this. Tracey Brennan, Principal and Evelyn Carrig Vice Principal are deliberately hiding this arrest from parents and staff. Please notify anyone who might be affected. It is a disgusting and malicious act to shield this individual from the justice that he so rightly deserves.

We all knew it was him, even before we learned who was arrested. He has a long and dirty record of preying upon students. Contact those who are affected. Let’s clean out the district of pedophiles and their protectors now.

That was a long perp walk from the building to the police car on Monday! I am shocked that the principal would try and cover this up. Those kids are totally helpless. Their parent’s should be notified at the very least.
