Abel Maldonado was on NBC News Conference today! This guy is from the other side of the moon. His demand for an “Open Primary”….is sicko stuff. Didn’t we already vote that idiocy down once or twice? What happens to the California Republican party? Didn’t we already have another turncoat that went along with Willie Brown…maybe two as we recall. One woman and one guy.
Now, there is little doubt that the CRP is very, very dubious when it comes to open anything – we can agree. They do have a closed corporation and you either play or stray! If you stray….you will be punished – little or no doubt! Maldonado, kept trying to sell his dedication to the citizens of California, mainly because he wants to run for statewide office, which could only happen if California has an “Open Primary”. His repetitive redundancy on that line followed the axiom: “He dost protest too much!” Pure baloney!
Maldonado, then had the temerity to say: “The California Republican Party has to change!” We agree, and the first thing we need to do is get rid of self serving Maldonado! Let us share with dear Abel what we call “a partisan propriety”: If you are in the minority….you are NOT allowed to cross over and vote on the other side of the aisle without approval by your leadership! If you do, you have just become part of the other side! Secondly, if you make side deals…they should never directly benefit the deal maker…only members of their party or members of the “side shifting opposition”….to “the correct side” of course! Third, when you are in the minority….you need to pay attention to the elected or selected leaders of your party. If you want to be an Independent – that is when you decide to run an an Independent, not as a Republican or Democrat. Finally, there are consequences to all known stupidty – Abel!
Good grief, where do we get such numbskulls? Oh, Santa Maria……well, voters in Santa Maria……do your duty and dump Maldonado, through that Recall or through demanding that he be “Censured” by the California Republican Party!
No, we don’t want the Double Car Tax, doubling tax rates or anything else that a “turncoat” might endorse! Hasn’t Able heard..you don’t raise taxes during a “depression”?
Ron,
Actually, we voted FOR the Open Primary – and the courts reversed our vote.
I look forward to voting for the Open Primary again.
There’s Art, shilling for Maldonado again!
Open Primary is unconstitutional as it was a decade ago, and that has not changed.
Currently there is a modified open primary where political parties wave their rights voluntarily, if they so please.
Abel Maldonado sold out his principals for something that can’t be done. This is a very good example of how term limits screws us, we have rank amateurs without a clue.
cook,
Actually, the new version of the Open Primary is modeled after the State of Washington’s version. it does not include federal offices. So yes, it is entirely Constitutional.
As for Maldonado, he has been in office for years – at the local and state level. He easily has over a dozen years experience in politics. He is no rookie.
*Arturo sir,
Sounds like you didn’t see Able’s very unconvincing performance on News Conference
this morning. We wouldn’t vote for that guy
on a bet! Bad actors with lots of training are
the worst kind! This guy is should never be
talked to by another Republican..ever! Turn
coats….are turn coats…no matter the party.
Ron,
That’s OK – I am not a Republican!
WHERE IS CAIN? WE ARE GOING TO RAISE HIM AT THE TAX RALLY!!! YA… WE ARE GOING TO RAISE CAIN AT THE RALLY!!! EVERYBODY… MARCH 7 IN FULLERTON CA..
Winship(s) you will be hearing from “junior.” The reference to Cain clearly refers to the murder of Maldonado as spelled out in Genesis, etc.
*Black and white arguments…no doubt! Ooops…
another “faux pau”!
We will not mention “Little Red Riding Hood”
either…though many elected to State Government
could be characterized as such!
How about….UN-Able to make good judgements?
“Now, there is little doubt that the CRP is very, very dubious when it comes to open anything”
Indeed. And that’s why they are losing influence rapidly. Unless they open up, they just end up a little splinter party. The Dems are laughing all the way to the ballot box…
The CRP would apparently rather die than enter the 21st century.
The Kingston Trio once said: “Southern California has alot of culture….and we were
lucky enough to run into him down there!”
Paraphrased…at best…but the idea is that
the CRP does need to get its head out of its
lower extremity and think out of the box when
it comes to platform and emerging candidates!
