You have to hand it to Planned Parenthood – when they go get a keynote speaker they don’t mess around. The Orange County and San Bernardino chapters announced today that Michelle Goldberg has agreed to speak at their 2009 Annual Luncheon, coming up on Nov. 4, in Costa Mesa.
Goldberg has made a career of going after nutter Talibani Republicans, in her books and speeches. She will be speaking about her latest book, “The Means of Reproduction – Sex, Power, and the Future of the World.” And hopefully she will pick on the nutters too!

Art, you are Anti-Christian and your beliefs color your worldview. I hope all those who believe Abortion is in direct violation of the will of God will show up and make their feelings about Ms. Goldberg known. Thank you Art for helping us rally the troops.
I am SO excited that Planned Parenthood is having Michelle Goldberg speak at their event! Goldberg’s book talks all about the global reproductive rights movement, anti-choice zealots (like our friend God Help Us), and the relationship between the two. For those who haven’t read her book, you have no idea just how much our country’s policies effect the well-being of women worldwide. And it’s astounding how much those policies, and the attitude toward global family planning, have changed in the past decade. (Did you know that George H.W. Bush was such a champion of distributing contraception that he was nicknamed RUBBERS?!)
Reproductive rights, as most people know, encompasses more than just protecting access to safe abortion. It’s affordable family planning and scientifically accurate, age-appropriate sex education, which are essential to the health and well-being of EVERYONE in our community.
I’d encourage everyone to read Ms. Goldberg’s book before passing judgment and take the time to educate themselves about all the wonderful work Planned Parenthood does in Orange County.
Both sides are extremists, as you can tell. They both leave no room for the middle ground common sense approach to the issues that they both propound.
Suffice it to say, they turn discussions of the subject matter into name-calling and the usual slurs when either seems to be gaining ground on the other in a debate.
So, where does that leave the rest of us? To sit on the sidelines and watch an important issue be overshadowed by dogma with an over abundance of ego.
I feel horrible for all the wee ones that die by “expulsion”.
But, then i think, maybe they are better off dead, than have a half wit as a mother.
And please don’t give me the same old story of rape. I worked at a client, and met alot of half wits that had multiple abortion’s.
A word of advise, if ya drink, have a des driver and a pee pee blocker!.
By the way Amy, being excited about someone that thinks abortion is like a facial, tell’s me alot about you.
“EXCITED”. Wow, you should join the local serial killer club, it might be a little more exciting for ya!.
Just a though:)
i meant clinic. 🙂
