Update: 70th AD race and Don Wagner kick-off event

As we enter the month of October the candidates for elected office are cranking up their campaigns. As I was unable to attend 70th AD candidate Don Wagner’s kick off event on Wednesday I will post the Press Release  from a Wagner for Assembly supporter which I just received.
Conservative Republican Don Wagner is being challenged for Assemblyman Chuck DeVore’s seat by Tustin Councilman, Moderate Republican, Jerry Amante.
Other Republicans in the hunt for this seat are Irvine Councilman Dr. Steven Choi and private risk management consultant Shawn Black.

“Wagner Kick Off a Huge Success

 Over 150 Republican Activists, Volunteers and Donors Turnout to Launch Campaign
 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
 Last night, Don Wagner, conservative candidate for the 70th Assembly District, kicked off his campaign at the Balboa Bay & Club Resort in Newport Beach.
 The event was hosted by Tom Fuentes, former Chairman of the Republican Party of   Orange County, and John Williams, Orange County Public Administrator/Public Guardian.
 Radio host Hugh Hewitt and many conservative elected officials and leaders turned  out with more than 150 supporters to pack the event and make it a huge success.
 ”Thank you so much to all my friends and supporters who joined us last night to  show their support. The evening was very positive, my conservative message well  received, and it was a great way to kick off my campaign,” said Wagner. “I am very  excited about the coming campaign and the opportunity to carry my message to the  community.”
 Wagner is quickly establishing himself as the conservative choice in the race to
  succeed conservative leader Chuck DeVore, who is seeking the Republican nomination for U.S. Senate.
 Don spoke to the large crowd about his experience on the Board of Trustees of the  South Orange County Community College District, the board’s record of consistent,
 sound fiscally conservative governing, and his goals for his time in Sacramento.
   Don has been elected to three consecutive terms on the Board of Trustees of the  South Orange County Community College District, and currently serves as the Board’s president. Don founded the Orange County chapter of the Federalist Society, a nationwide organization of 40,000 conservative lawyers, law students, and scholars dedicated to preserving the rule of law from activist courts.
    Im pretty sure Stephen Choi is not running. I believe he decided to focus on fighting the Agranistas. However he still has his website up for some reason. Don Wagner all the way!
    C-mo. Thank you. Someone else gave me the same input that he is not running at this time. I will contact Steve and report back as to why his site is still active.
    Ron & Anna attended this event and we must say it was rather impressive. Starting with the Candidate himself. Don seems affable, dedicated and sincerely wanting the job. His unflappable position on the 2nd Amendment was the turning point in his favor for us. Seeing the likes of Brett Barbre was great, Hugh Nguyen…was styling…..and seemed very self assured….his wife is wonderful.
    All the major luminaries were there with a few exceptions. Looks like Don will be the frontrunner for the 70th!
