This just came “over the transom” from ReclaimDemocracy.org, and it sounds like an idea whose time has come, a worthy standard for patriotic citizens from left right & center to repair to, ending the Constitutional disgrace of “corporate personhood.” ReclaimDemocracy.org and National Network Ready to Launch For the first time, a national coordinated [...] Saving the Environment is a big job, but someone has got to do it. Whether its the President of the United States, Governor Arnold or some whacko from Denmark…..there must be an answer someplace….ya think? Well, Friends, today it happened. Friends for Fullerton’s Future brought suit in the Superior Court against the phony Redevelopment expansion, and against the County’s disbursement of any property tax increment. Last night the Fullerton City Council voted to give the County of Orange $4,000,000 of your money. Right now. Right out of your pocket. So what’s the reason for this unusual generosity? It was because the County was threatening to sue the City over the diversion of property tax increment from the County through the bogus [...] President Obama gave a wonderfully compelling speech tonight at a Joint Session of Congress. His words were clear, strong and the message was very poignant: He wants National Healthcare! The President’s carefully crafted words were pure eloquence! No one can ever doubt what the new Great Communicator can do…..it was wonderful. The Flash Poll that [...] Former Santa Ana Councilman Mike Garcia knew that shady Santa Ana developer Mike Harrah would try to move government offices into his proposed One Broadway Plaza building, so Garcia added a clause that forced Harrah to have to lease out half the building before the City of Santa Ana would allow him to build his [...] Well, finally a responsible political organization has come out and called the “Cap & Trade” Obama proposal what it is… a job killer, a tax and spend job, a tariffs bill sure to anger every country who exports to us, a giveaway to big business, and a sure-fire loser! Republicans used to be good. Of course they were. They “Re-invented America with Newt Gingrich!” They were always the hard core Conservative voice that defended our right to keep and bear arms. They always fought against “activist judges”. They always were defending small business from invasive regulation. They always defended the right of the unborn. [...] The recent end run attempt around new taxes/fees by the California Legislature brings to mind some needs….like the need for upwards of $36 Billion dollars in short falls over the next two years. The self serving bold Democratic majority thought if they changed words….they could change the law….from Taxes (requiring 2/3 Majority vote) to Fees (requiring a [...] Saving the Big 3 for You and Me … a message from Michael Moore As the Big Three go to Congress, this time hat in hand…they are looking for not $25 Billion bucks but now $34 Billion in loans to get them through the 2008 fiscal year! Who are these guys? They now say, they are on the Cutting Edge of Technology…..diversifying their products to include hybrids-flex fuel-electric vehicles [...] Chuck DeVore (pictures above, on the right) has thrown his hat into the ring for the U.S. Senate in 2010 against the venerable Barbara Boxer. Chuck is one of 30 Republican Assembly members of the 80 member State of California Assembly. |
