Since we at FFFF like sharing so much, I thought we would share this email with our Friends. I wonder if it ever occurred to Hilda Sugarwoman that her old pal Linda Ackerwoman moved to Irvine a long, long time ago. It’s been 10 years. Maybe, just maybe, Hilda lost track of time? You know… [...] We’ve been reading up on our would-be 72nd Assembly District representative, Linda Ackerman, of Irvine. We’ve done some digging, too, and have perused her website. We have had quite a bit of fun shredding the supposed testimonials by endorsers, statements so false that they hardly needed debunking. Just as we reported earlier today about Orange, the Linda Ackerman campaign coughed up some more local endorsements, this time in Redevelopment-friendly Brea – where nobody’s property is safe from the City – if they want it. Here are the two money “quotes”: The Linda Ackerman campaign issued one of those out-of-a-can press releases the other day bragging about her endorsement by three City of Orange councilmembers – Cavecche, Murphy, and Dumitru. If there were such a course for ambitious district hopping politicians, one of the basic lessons taught would surely be to learn the boundaries of your would-be district. It’s only polite, after all. In the world of politics it is believed that if you just keep saying the same thing over and over again, eventually people will believe it. “Orange County Supervisors have taken a tentative step toward closing down county polling places and doing all balloting by mail – last week, they agreed to ask the county’s legislative delegation to push for a state law allowing all-mail balloting on a county-by-county basis,” according to Martin Wiskol over at the Total Buzz blog. |
