Why are gay leaders gushing over Cindy McCain, just because she is now publicy opposing the anti-gay marriage movement? Why was she silent when her husband John was running for President? Why did she say nothing when he endorsed California’s Prop. 8?
So Cindy is now appearing in the picture above, with duct tape over her [...]

Just when you thought you’d heard it all, John McCain launches a radio spot announcing that “John McCain is leading the fight against President Obama every day.” The radio spot is part of McCain’s campaign against GOP primary opponent J.D. Hayworth. How to respond? On the one hand, taking ownership of the GOP’s leadership failure [...]
Will U.S. Senator John McCain pay the ultimate price for putting Sarah Palin on his presidential ticket?
A telephone survey of 570 likely Republican primary voters conducted by Rasmussen Reports found McCain the favorite of 45 percent of those questioned. But former Congressman and current radio talk show host J.D. Hayworth was backed by 43 percent, [...]
The RNC has been trying to connect President Elect Barack Obama to corrupt Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich, but GOP Senator John McCain isn’t pleased about this ridiculous show of partisanship. The RNC has released a Web video called “Questions Remain,” (see the YouTube clip [...]
This is my response to the red party hackery posted yesterday by Terry Crowley.
Most campaigns win or lose on the uninformed voters. I’m sure doing a poll the opposite way would render similar results. How would McCain supporters answer the following questions:
“Which candidate left their spouse after they were in a car accident that left them disabled?” [...]
There is an interesting opinion column in today’s L.A. Times regarding what happend to the GOP in the recent election. The thrust of the column is that the Republican Party’s goose is cooked:
First, Obama’s electoral coalition suggests deep fissures in the geographical base of the GOP. Since the 1960s, Republicans have been able to count [...]

Perry Como was a fantastic talent. He even had his own TV show in the 1950’s. He worn his almost patented Alpaca sweater and never ceased to offer up his many songs with their pear shaped tones:

His classic….”Letters…we get letters…we get stacks and stacks of letters: Dear Perry….if you’d be so kind to fill a [...]
Just something that popped into my head today, after days of watching Senator McCain’s frequent coughing, brain freezes, and other indications of bad health, and then seeing the gruelling schedule he has planned for himself today and tomorrow. Just something that popped into the head of the Orange Juice’s resident American history buff, and I’m [...]
This blog has been a fun place to meet and greet a variety of self flaggelating, overbearing nerd cakes! If you take a look at various viewpoints on the Statewide Propositions…you can finally get a pretty good idea of just how unintouch some of our prime time blog birds are in the grand mix of [...]
Another Day in the McCain-Palin Campaign
20-year-old Ashley Todd, a Texas Young Republican volunteering for McCain in Pittsburgh, searching late Wednesday night for an ATM, suddenly found herself in “the wrong part of town.” As she withdrew her cash, a tall black man – 6′4″, 200 pounds – pulled a knife on her, and robbed her [...]

The last debate is over on the Presidential campaign trail. McCain proved to those that took Discussion and Debate at the Naval Academy…..that they should have played football instead. If this contest had been Harvard vs. Naval Academy in football…..McCain would have had a chance. Instead it was more like sculls or a rowing race. Obama’s steady stroke [...]
Yeah, we all know the good Senator is sinking into permanent PTSD-influenced dementia, but what strikes me is watching airhead Sarah standing at his side. I was expecting at least a double-take at his Freudian slip; maybe she was just contemplating how PURTY she looks:
(PS. I posted this a few hours ago and it disappeared… [...]
Not just posting it because it’s a good, relevant, true ad, but because it features the President of Orange County Young Democrats, an Iraqi vet, and Vote Vets is putting $350,000 up to run it in the swing state of Virginia. Yay [...]

Good grief….what an amazing election year. The events of the day have created a variety of command decision making on the part of the electorate. Big changes are afoot as we know in our economy, our social fabric and our world. It would be too easy to just close our eyes, hold our noses and [...]
