For all you Red Republicans who were upset with Carlos about not keep in mind the Mayor of Los Angeles has still not endorsed Angelides. What in the hell is taking so long, as one of you stated?
But I want to congratulate Art and those who have been whining about Carlos not endorsing Ryan WIlliams and Tan Nguyen. Carlos has shown he can’t stand up to the party activists depite his preference for Jose and Loretta. By choosing the Pavlovian support of two candidates who have zero chance of getting elected simply because they are Republicans signals that the siren song he’s been giving to Dems about being a real non-partisan guy who won’t follow the GOP party line is b.s. Most of his Dem support, except Art’s buddy Miguel, will dry up like the Dust Bowl.
Now if Carlos would just endorse Janet Nguyen for O.C. Supervisor we could have a Nguyen-Nguyen outcome.
Well, it looks like poor Bustamante is in a Catch-22.
Because he waited sooooo long to finally endorse Ryan Gene for AD 69, most Repugs are still angry at him. This will certainly complicate his effort to run for OC BOS next year WHEN Correa goes to Sacramento.
Now on the other hand by endorsing Ryan Gene, Bustamante has probably lost whatever crossover Dem support he had left. Remember when he got the Labor Council’s endorsement two years ago? Well, we can safely say now that those days are over.
So basically, Bustamante shot himself in both feet by trying to straddle the fence on this issue. His GOP base is angry at him for waiting so long, while his crossover Dem support has evaporated because he’s been acting more like a Republican in the last year and a half. Yep, he may have to reconsider that promotions he’s looking for.

Bustamante will never run to the Democrat Party because over there he will be just another nobody.

I truly believe that the only way Carlos is going to save his standing in the GOP is by endorsing Thomas Gordon for Mayor, and by backing George Collins and Evangeline Gawronski for the City Council. I don’t think that is likely to happen…so it is going to be rough going for Carlos henceforth.
This is what is wrong with partisan politics . To be in good standing in the club you have to endorse members that might not deserve your endorsement.Politicians are dirty and shameful.They will work to elect a candidate that is not in the best interest of the citizens but rather because the candidate is in good standing with the club.

This closed down bar catered to Hispanic gentlemen by featuring scadingly-clad he-shes. This should make the students and parents of Santa Ana proud. Then let’s not forget his close association with Nativo which was noted recently in the OC Reg as highly unethical.
