Imad Mughniyeh, responsible for US Marine deaths in Lebanon, assassinated

A name that most Americans have never heard is that of Imad Mughniyeh, Hizbullah’s chief of operations. Do you recall the June 1985 TWA flight 847 from Athens to Rome in which the plane was hijacked and forced to land in Beirut? It was later flown to Algeria. One of the hostages killed on that aircraft was US Navy diver Robert Stetham. One source reports that Imad Mughniyeh was responsible for the deaths of 260 Americans including Lt. Col. Wm. Buckley, CIA Station Chief in Beirut.

It took over 20 years to get him but the old saying “you can run but you can’t hide” has proven to be true. Mughniyeh was just killed by a car bomb in Damascus, Syria.
