The Ralph Nader/Matt Gonzalez ticket is not backing down even as the hype builds for the DNC Convention. Nader/Gonzalez just put out a new video called “Votesong,” featuring music by Rick Steffen, in celebration of the fact that they will be on the ballots of 45 states.
The video shows how many nomination signatures were required in each state and how many Nader/Gonazalez were able to pick up.
At 7 p.m. on Wednesday, August 27th, during the Democratic National Convention, the Nader/Gonzalez Campaign will be holding a Super Rally for 5,000-7,000 people at the University of Denver Magness Arena. Featured guests include Val Kilmer and Sean Penn, Cindy Sheehan, Jello Biafra … Tom Morello of Rage Against the Machine, Nellie McKay and Ike Reilly.
This, and a second Super Rally on September 4th in Minneapolis, will be a call to action for opening the presidential debates.
The Nader/Gonzalez ticket is at 6 percent in the latest CNN poll – on a par with the Libertarian Barr/Root ticket. Clearly both the Green Party and the Libertarian Party should be included in the presidential debates. I would love to see Nader/Gonzalez and Barr/Root whip the red and blue party nominees!
Below is a bonus video hyping the Denver Nader/Gonzalez Super Rally. You can see the other Nader/Gonzalez videos at this link.
Go Nader-Gonzalez!
the last I heard of Sean Penn he was traveling around the floodwaters of New Orleans by raft, reaching out to Katrina victims while Bush was either on vacation retreat or busy scratching his navel.
nice to know he’s a Nader man.
Go Art Pedroza for publishing this story!!
Haya,
Thanks! Here at the Orange Juice we don’t believe in excluding any of our political parties. And Nader’s backers seem like a pretty cool bunch…who doesn’t love Rage Against the Machine?!?
