Will GOP candidate John McCain pick a woman as his V.P.?

I just heard from a red pajarito who has sources in the McCain presidential campaign regarding who will be McCain’s pick for Vice President.  Apparently it won’t be any of the names we have heard bantered about – not Romney; Lieberman, Pawlenty; etc.  I am told that the pick will be bold and unprecedented.  Pretty much the opposite of Obama’s Biden pick.

Will it be Alaska Governor Sarah Palin?

Or U.S. Senator Kay Bailey Hutchinson, from Texas?  Or former E-bay CEO Meg Whitman?

If McCain does pick a woman I think he is going to get a big boost in his numbers.  And even more Clintonistas will be fleeing the Obama/Biden ticket.  It will be very interesting to see which way this goes now that Obama’s pick has already become old news.
