Ron & Anna’s Non Partisan Ballot – Part II

Ron St. John was good enough to mention that we had missed two ballot measures in our initial assessment.  We apologize for our precipitous overview missed two very important issues which are on the Orange County Ballot for November 4th, 2008.

Additionally, some people have contacted us to ask who we were supporting in the Los Angeles Supervisor’s race in District 2:  Our choice there is former Police Chief, current LA City Council Member Bernard Parks!

OK….here we go with the last two measures on the Novemeber ballot:

12- Veterans Bond Act of 2008 – YES  *Of course we support our veterans in everything they do.  Unless it was a bogus war like the War of 1812!

County of Orange:  Measure J – NO  * We have dubbed this one as cowardice and non compliance in the duty of our Supervisors!  Sadly, our Supervisor….John Moorlach figured that if he was on record as turning down Pension and wage increases for County employees…he might have to pay a political price when he came up for re-election.  Our view is…..that we elect and pay the Supervisors to understand issues, understand the economics of the situation and make their best judgements.  We do not feel required to study endless County documents regarding response times, efficiencies in departments and the like.  Let the Supervisors and their staffs do that!

OK…..that’s it……sorry for the oversight…on the last two issues!
