Most of us are spending the day getting ready for a Thanksgiving feast. However that isn’t good enough for Santa Ana’s “Usual Suspects.” Pajaritos in town are chirping about their latest project…trying to recall Santa Ana Councilwoman Michele Martinez.
I thought they were out of control when they recently began a whisper campaign to get our fellow blogger, Sean Mill, kicked off the Santa Ana Planning Commission. And their craziness became even more apparent when one of them began circulating emails that called Santa Ana Councilman Sal Tinajoro a “racist child abuser.” But now they are trying to subvert the will of the voters…and this isn’t the first time they have used this tactic.
The same bunch recalled former SAUSD Trustee Nativo Lopez some years ago. Ironically the SAUSD got worse afterwords under the leadership of the Usual Suspects’ own Rob Richardson. So much for the Lopez recall saving the day.
And the Usual Suspects danced in the streets like Palestinian terrorists when former Santa Ana Councilman Ted Moreno was arrested. Now they are allegedly targeting Martinez, probably because she dared run against their King, Santa Ana Mayor Miguel Pulido.
Well, this time the Usual Suspects have taken their hatred too far! They may have been able to recall Lopez, but that is not going to work with Martinez. This bogus proposed recall will backfire on the Usual Suspects. But it won’t stop them. When they are done with Martinez they will return to doing whatever they can to undermine Councilman Sal Tinajero.

Sorry for the dumb question; But can you list the Usual Suspects? Im still not clear about who these people actually are. I know the Strouds are in the ranks of the crew you term the usual suspects but beyond that I dont know who is also in that group. Also, from the above post can we assume that the planner is in that group as well?

If anyone deserves a lawsuit against them its Paul lucas for his constant harassment of those who have told him to shut up and go away. I’d be willing to bet that most of the Democrat party members and labor leaders would be willing to sign off on that class-action. Although, it’d be a waste cause paul is worth about as much as he his politically… which is nothing.

I have lived in Santa Ana for a few years but until recently I was never involved in the community. A friend told me to check out your blog so here I am.
I am thinking about getting involved in my local neighborhood association but before I do I want to make sure that none of these so-called usual suspects belong to it.
They sound like positively awful human beings and I want no part of any group that would have them as members.
Someone please provide a full listing of the despicable individuals for me.

I have never actually seen like a little blackbook of names for the Usual Suspects. Santa Ana is very “traditional” in politics – like the Hatfields and the McCoys. Constant conflicts and shots fired. No one really takes it seriously, so please relax and enjoy the occasional ruckus.
Keep reading and you’ll be able to choose up sides soon enough! 😉
