L.A. Times columnist Patt Morrison broke the news yesterday that Congresswoman Linda Sanchez is preggers. What great timing given that the Sanchez family has been grieving the loss of their older brother in a freak boating accident a few weeks ago. Nothing heals like a baby on the way!
“The baby’s father and Sanchez’s “unofficially engaged” beau of a year and a half is Jim Sullivan, a government and PR consultant and the divorced father of three boys,” according to the L.A. Times.
Sanchez plans to wed Sullivan at some future date. Will the same Republicans who celebrated the teen mother pregnancy of Bristol Palin, Sarah Palin’s teen daughter, now attack Sanchez for getting pregnant out of wedlock? I surely hope not.
By the way, be sure to buy the new book penned by the Sanchez sisters, “Dream in Color,” which chronicles their family life and their rise in politics. Click here to purchase it for about ten bucks.
Congratulations to the Sanchez family!
Is that Captain Kangaroo dancing with Miss Piggy?
Oh the horror for crying out loud that poor child, he or she will have to live with the stigma of being a bastard for the rest of their life. Poor poor bastard baby. Maybe she can get married in the next 8 months to say her child from the stigma.
Oh wait that is what all the people said to me on this very blog when I admitted that I was not married when I had my daughter. People here are oh so nice. Is it a double standard now that someone important is unwed and pregnant.
Oh shoot I forgot to add……
Congrats to congresswoman Sanchez!
“Unofficially engaged”.
Is that similar to being “a little bit pregnant”?
Actually, it’s about the opposite.
Just what the world needed. Another bastard.
When will people learn. Order makes a difference. First get married, THEN fabricate children.
no_vas,
you sound like a bastard to me.
or possibly a son-of-a-bi**h.
This needs to be filed under the “who cares” department.
What a high set of morals the Sanchez family is setting for the future voters of America Having children out of wedlock. Good one….
