Garden Grove voters say “no” to machine candidates!

Kudos to Robin Marcario, whom I endorsed, as she edged out Andrew Do, who is Supervisor Janet Nguyen’s Chief of Staff, for the Garden Grove City Council.  Assemblyman Van Tran’s candidate, Trung Nguyen, lost too.  The people chose a legitimate candidate in Marcario.  She has worked tirelessly for the betterment of her community and she will be a great Council Member in Garden Grove.

I cannot imagine how much Do and Nguyen spent…for nada!  Perhaps now their respective machines will realize that they have to earn the trust of the people and spending tons of money is no sure thing.

It is also worth noting that Tran’s employee, Truong Diep, lost in his Westminster Council race and John Nguyen lost in the Garden Grove Unified School District race.  Both were Tran allies.  Tran himself just barely beat Ken Arnold.  If the Democrats had done more to help Arnold he may well have prevailed.

Perhaps now Tran and Janet will work for the betterment of their constituents instead of wasting time and money attacking each other.
