Congratulations to the RNC on picking a moderate, Michael Steele, to head their party. However, did they know that he is connected to the notorious boxer, Mike Tyson?
Congratulations to the RNC on picking a moderate, Michael Steele, to head their party. However, did they know that he is a former brother in law of the notorious boxer, Mike Tyson?
“Iron” Mike Tyson was married to Monica Turner M.D. for a while. Dr. Turner is Michael Steele’s stepsister.
Yes, you read that correctly. Michael Steele is “Iron” Mike Tyson’s former stepbrother-in-law.
Tyson appeared at a press conference when Steele was running for the U.S. Senate, where he said that he used to believe black Republicans were “sellouts.” But Tyson said he changed his mind after researching the Maryland lieutenant governor, according to an online source.
“Former stepbrother-in-law” and ex-con — now there’s a connection.
Want to discuss Bill Ayers and Tony Rezko and all the Messiah’s buds?
So what you are saying is the GOP appointed the former stepbrother-in-law of a flesh-eating rapist to head the party?
It’s just a joke everyone. No one take the above comment too seriously. Personally I believe Mike when he said that he didn’t do it. (The rape thing we all saw the flesh-eating thing on camera)
Although he did tell Barbara Walters that because of all the things that he went through because of Desiree Washington (the woman he was convicted of raping), he wishes that he had raped her, and her mother.
In my opinion those are the words of an innocent man.
Cut Iron Mike some slack. He was married to Robin Givens for crying out loud. You know Robin Givens? That crazy chick from “Head of the Class.”
Mike did say that the best punch he ever landed was on Robin. I also believe him when he says that.
Roy,
Don’t get me wrong, Steele is a great pick to head up the RNC. But you have to admit, the Tyson pic is pretty funny!
Yes, I think it’s one of those ‘thanks but no thanks’ circumstances. Say Mike, would you mind putting on a sweater?
FYI, might want to listen to my exclusive interview with Michael Steele and comment. Thanks. JL.

And forget, please, “conservatism,” please. It will not “save” us because it has been, operationally, de facto, Godless and therefore irrelevant. Secular conservatism will not defeat secular liberalism because to God both are two atheistic peas-in-a-pod and thus predestined to failure. As Stonewall Jackson’s Chief of Staff R.L. Dabney said of such a humanistic belief more than 100 years ago:
“[Secular conservatism] is a party which never conserves anything. Its history has been that it demurs to each aggression of the progressive party, and aims to save its credit by a respectable amount of growling, but always acquiesces at last in the innovation. What was the resisted novelty of yesterday is today .one of the accepted principles of conservatism; it is now conservative only in affecting to resist the next innovation, which will tomorrow be forced upon its timidity and will be succeeded by some third revolution; to be denounced and then adopted in its turn. American conservatism is merely the shadow that follows Radicalism as it moves forward towards perdition. It remains behind it, but never retards it, and always advances near its leader. This pretended salt bath utterly lost its savor: wherewith shall it be salted? Its impotency is not hard, indeed, to explain. It is worthless because it is the conservatism of expediency only, and not of sturdy principle. It intends to risk nothing serious for the sake of the truth.”
Our country is collapsing because we have turned our back on God (Psalm 9:17) and refused to kiss His Son (Psalm 2).

Hey John, what was Dabney’s “novelty”? Abolition?
Your theocractic “truth” and attempt to find Biblical solutions to secular issues will get you 30% of the vote.
You go, bro’.
I thought Steele did very well in this interview with Lofton. I would have lost patience, but Steele maintained his cool without caving in to Lofton’s overbearing style. I agree with Steele much more than Lofton. Lofton sounds a little extreme for my tastes.
