ROFLMAO – Insolvent Assemblywoman Diane Harkey to try to fix state solvency problems

I swear you can’t make this stuff up. The red-faced jokers over at the Red Klownty blog posted a press release today touting troubled GOP Assemblywoman Diane Harkey. Here is just one laughable excerpt:

Assembly Republican Leader Sam Blakeslee, of San Luis Obispo, today announced that he has selected Assemblywoman Diane Harkey, R-Dana Point, as the new Republican lead for Solvency Strategies. In her new role, she will work to help California navigate through its immediate cash flow problems and ensure the state does not run out of money.

Are you kidding me?  Harkey’s husband Dan is being sued for allegedly running a property investment ponzi scheme and the Republican leaders think that Diane is now going to have something relevant to say about the state’s budget problems?  ROFLMAO!

I guess there are so few Republican legislators left in Sacramento that the dregs are getting picked for these assignments.  Why didn’t Assemblyman Chuck DeVore get picked?  Oh right, he was busy tilting at windmills as he continues his idiotic quest to defeat U.S. Senator Barbara Boxer.

What about Assemblyman Van Tran?  Oh right, his wife was indicted for insurance fraud.  What about Assemblyman Jim Silva?  Uh-oh, he is too busy feeding the squirrels over at the State Capitol.  What about Assemblyman Jeff Miller?  No, he is fighting a recall.  What about State Senator Bob Huff?  Nope.  He is facing a recall too.

So that is how they got stuck with Harkey.  Perhaps her insolvent husband will have some tips for the California Republicans on how to rip off others in order to get ahead.
