The Orange County Division of the California League of Cities is hosting a General Meeting this Thursday, July 9, at the Hilton Hotel of Orange County, located at 3050 Bristol St., in Costa Mesa. The Division’s Business Meeting will begin at 5 pm. The Buffet Dinner will begin at 6 pm. And the program will begin at 6:45 pm.
The featured speaker is Mike Madrid, the Leading Campaign Strategist for the California League of Cities and the Principal of Madrid & Associates. Madrid will be sharing his own views about “How Party Politics are the State are Changing.” His presentation is entitled “Taking Back California.”
Madrid is a fantastic speaker and a wealth of knowledge! You will not want to miss this meeting. He is also a whiz at blogging and using new media. Madrid is the publisher of the “California City News” blog. He also publishes the “California Propositions” website and the “Latino Report” website.
The meeting program will cover two main topics: 1) California’s changing political climate (mainly through changes of, and by the two political parties and current government structure 2) The current budget situation and what that means for the state as well as for cities.
