Pictures of damage caused by Andy Quach’s midnight car accident emerge

UPDATE: “Councilman Andy Tuan Ngoc Quach collided with a car with three people in it before losing control of his vehicle and hitting a power pole, police officials said today.  Westminster police released new information about the incident, saying that the 37-year-old Quach’s Mercedes hit another vehicle driven by a Garden Grove man right before crashing into the pole. That vehicle was traveling east on McFadden Avenue, said Sgt. Dan Schoonmaker,” according to the O.C. Register.

Photos of the damage caused by Westminster City Councilman Andy Quach’s midnight Saturday car accident have emerged!

“City Councilman Andy Tuan Ngoc Quach was arrested on suspicion of drunken driving after police say he slammed his vehicle into a power pole, knocking out power to more than 300 homes in his city,” according to the O.C. Register.

As you can see from the picture above and the one below, Quachzilla made quite a mess!

Quach said he was on his way home after having dinner with friends when the crash occurred.

“I think I must have nodded off and hit the pole,” he said. “I wish it’s something I can undo, but I can’t. We’re all human. As far as I’m concerned, it will never happen again.”

Nodded off?  Let’s see what the blood alcohol tests say…

Quach should resign from the Westminster City Council!  Drunk or not he is a public menace!

I wonder if Quach will still be working on Van Tran’s congressional campaign?

The Liberal OC blog is actually insinuating that Tran was in the car with Quach when the accident happened!

UPDATE: It turns out that Quach has had some prior traffic incidents.  In January of 2004, he was found guilty of “unsafe speed for prevailing conditions.”  In Feb. of 2004, he was cited for entering an intersection on a red arrow but that charge was dismissed.  In September of 2008, he was cited for driving greater than 100 miles per hour.  That charge was dismissed.  Click here to check for yourself.
