14% voter turnout is shameful. There is no other word to describe American citizens not bothering to vote when people in some countries walk for miles to polling places, sometimes under the threat of violence or death to take part in their democracies. In a time when anyone can request a vote-by-mail ballot there is almost no good excuse for missing an election. Thank you to everyone who voted, no matter who you supported.
Maybe nobody wanted to vote because they were happy with how things are going. This shows you that only a small percentage had a problem. Democracy at its best I think because the majority didn’t care about what the small number of crazies thought.
Yeah, I think it was the crappy GOTV effort. On the Norby side, I was like one of maybe a dozen people helping out. When I was driving around putting up door hangers, I saw more Jane Rands signs than anything else.
