A lot of interesting events have happened in the past week or two, and most of them have been mentioned on blogs no one reads, or a single paragraph in the middle of an article. With that said, I would like to offer the OJ readers a sarcastic summary of recent developments concerning my sterile hometown of Irvine.

Where's Todd Gallinger?
First, the Grand Jury is doing an investigation for the second time of the Great Park Corporation. The Irvine Republican establishment has reposted and retweeted the heck out of this story to bash Larry Agran, but don’t expect any change in the political status quo. Last time they investigated the Great Park, our former Mayor Beth Krom kindly sent them a letter denying any wrongdoing like nothing happened. My former Facebook friend Allan Bartlett hopes that the consequences will be more severe this time around, which I share, but don’t hold your breath. My bet is that it is a rouse to distract anti-Agran activists from pursuing a real DA investigation and filing charges before the November elections. Obviously, Board Chairman Larry Agran is silent on this issue.

Why would anyone even want to go to this for free?
Another thing Agran is silent on is the fact that he and his pals got free tickets to Cirque du Soliel, which just opened at the Great Park. I doubt Agran gave them free rent just for free tickets, so stay alert for any subsequent campaign contributions this election. Shea’s camp is making a big ruckus about refusing the free tickets for themselves, which is stupid because their partner Steven Choi accepted them.
Finally, “Baby Boy” Todd Gallinger is back on the scene, teaming up with a bunch of lunatic Agran apologists that are trying to legally intmidate Art Pedroza into handing over domain names he owns legitimately. Gallinger was last known for being Agran’s drone candidate in the 2008 elections. Whats even more sad (not shocking) is that “Hardcore Republican” Cunningham has sided against Art in a blog post not even worth linking to. The fact that he calls himself a Republican is a joke, sort of like the LiberalOC, and Todd Gallinger
Finally, I’ll be carpetbagging up to the OCGOP HQ on Tuesday (Election Day) to help walk precincts for Chris Norby, and I thought I would invite everyone.
A review of the Cirque event appeared in the Register today (Jan 11). It was positive about the Cirque itself, but negative about the apparent lack of planning by the City to handle the traffic seeking to enter and later leave the site. Message seemed to be that the Great Park location for the Cirque this year was a big mistake. (Perhaps the price was right in a desperate attempt to get the park visitor count up?)
Yeah, the place is like a freakin maze through Chernobyl.
