Chris Norby is now moving on to the State Assembly.  Who will replace him on the O.C. Board of Supervisors?

I think Republican Shawn Nelson, who serves on the Fullerton City Council, is most likely to prevail.  Nelson has received Norby’s endorsement.

There are a slew of Democrats vying for the seat as well, including Tom Daly, the O.C. Clerk-Recorder; Lorri Galloway, who is a carpetbagger from the Anaheim City Council, and Rose Espinoza, a Councilmember in La Habra.  There are rumors that Daly will pull out of the race soon.

Two other Republicans are in the race – Harry Sidhu, another carpetbagger who serves on the Anaheim City Council; and Richard Faher, a businessman from Placentia.

“Here’s how the election will work: A candidate who wins more than half the votes in June would become supervisor immediately and would continue serving through the four-year term, which begins in January 2011.,” according to Total Buzz.
