Lance MacLean’s new job?
The ROV office just confirmed. Mission Viejo mayor Lance MacLean has cancelled his request for a recount of ballots in our just concluded special election.
That recount was to begin at 9 a.m. tomorrow. Who knows what Lance will do next?

Even though canceled, I will bet the Registrar has encountered some additional costs in gearing up for the recount. If so, MacClean, not the taxpayers, should pay that cost.

I was an observer at the Janet Nguyen recount. We have all read the results.
Lance has private baggage that was kept under wraps that broke on OC Weekly just before he pulled the plug. His walking away was the right decision.
