For all the “union shill” thrown at Lorrie Galloway and Harry Sidhu by the union-bashing supporters of Shawn Nelson, it turns out the only candidate who uses union materials in their campaign – complete with the “union bug” – is Rose Espinoza. This is surprising – the union bug is traditionally a point of honor for Democratic candidates. Democratic voters should bear this in mind before they make their choice. Rose’s latest e-mail:
Dear Vern
As you know, the 4th Supervisorial District encompasses the cities of Buena Park, Fullerton, La Habra, Placentia, and the portions of Anaheim outside of Anaheim Hills. For the past few weeks, our volunteer campaign workers have been placing our lawn signs in these cities. Of the five candidates who have lawn signs displayed, our campaign is the only one that has their signs printed in a union print shop, showing that shop’s identifying logo.
I purposely selected a union print shop for our campaign printing because their skilled craftspeople produce such high quality work. I also support businesses that do all their factory work in California. For my campaign I don’t need to look for products that come from out-of-state, or from third-world countries.
I’m also a member of the La Habra Chamber of Commerce. I support businesses so they can remain in California, and relocate to California, especially to Orange County. When businesses grow, we all benefit.

Does Councilwoman Espinoza see no contradiction between supporting unions and belonging her local Chamber of Commerce? The top event listed on the website of the La Habra Chamber is an organizational meeting for an upcoming trip to China, a great place to outsource manufacturing jobs from the U.S. Another event is a rededication of a local Sam’s Club, owned by the notoriously anti-union Wal-Mart. Check out this Sam’s Club handbook:
