Co-founder of the Minutemen hiding in Arizona desert after threatening his family

The Minutemen love to talk about the rule of law.  Well, now one of their founders, Chris Simcox, is on the run from the law, according to the Washington Times.

Now bounty hunters are looking for him in order to serve an order of protection for his estranged wife as part of a messy divorce case in which he is accused in court records of threatening to kill her, their three children and any police officers who try to protect them.

Minuteman co-founder Jim Gilchrist is quoted as saying that he thinks Simcox is hiding in the Arizona desert.  Maybe he is drinking the water that some good-hearted folks leave there for immigrants?

Simcox is accused of pulling a gun on his wife and kids.  And get this – two previous wives also accused him of violent conduct.  Nice family values…

Before he went into hiding Simcox was advising Tea Party Senate candidate J.D. Hayworth.  Simcox was actually a candidate for the Senate before Hayworth jumped into the race.  Click here to see Simcox’ website, which is still up.

Maybe Arizona needs to pass a new law outlawing Minutemen?
