Leave it to Republican Assemblyman Van Tran to have no clue as to who lives in the 47th Congressional District. Tran is running in the GOP primary in the 47th, against Tan Nugyen and Katherine Smith. The winner will face off against incumbent Congresswoman Loretta Sanchez in November.
But Tran’s new campaign mailer leaves out any hint of the Latinos who make up 65% of the voters in the district, according to Wikipedia! Instead, the mailer, as seen above, features three white voters. Only 17.8% of the voters in the district are white!
Tran didn’t even include any Viet voters although Asian voters make up 13.9% of the voters.

This will be one to watch in November.
In the surrounding districts the losing candidate get 100 thousand plus votes and loses to the winning candidate who gets 150 to 200 thousand votes.
The day of the Sanchez maybe over in the 47th. She may need twice the number of votes she’s got in the past to overcome the Viet voting block.
And with the backlash from the white voter’s over naïve student demonstrating for the overthrow of California so it can be come a alien state.
Old “rotten New Year Pastries” Tran thinks he has the Viet vote down (wrong) and thinks he can win without Hispanics (wrong.)
I still endorse him over Racist Foe of Democracy Tan, if only because Tan has already had the privilege of a Loretta ass-kicking, and it’s Van’s turn now.
It would have been “right” to have some diversity in that mailer, but Van Tran was likely appealing to the people who pay the bulk of the taxes in that area.

Van Tran is a do-nothing assemblyman……….who is the dumbest politician I have ever met……except for Rohrbacher,……but he’s been re-elected 11 times.
