13 potential candidates for Mission Viejo city council

Last night I received a call from Mission Viejo resident Donna Bourassa indicating that she intends to join the dozen prior council candidates who have pulled papers to begin the election process. She has scheduled a 9 a.m. meeting with Karen Hamman our City Clerk.

At this time let me provide some basic information on Donna who has been a resident of Mission Viejo for around 35 years.  She is currently serving as the elected Treasurer of the Mission Viejo Environmental Association. MVEA is the largest HOA in our city. Donna is also part owner of a winery in Napa Valley.

Ms. Bourassa is very familiar with our community having retired after many years as a local real estate agent in addition to previously owning a Mission Viejo travel agency for close to eight years.

Folks. It’s not over yet. There is another candidate scheduled to meet with our City Clerk later this morning. Once that happens I will reveal the name and some basic information on that resident.
We will all have to wait until the final bell rings at 5 p.m. on August 6th at which time I will get into more serious candidate Q&A.
