Krom: Hey Waldo, WHERE’S JOHN CAMPBELL?

From Beth Krom:

Dear Vern,

It’s been said that 90% of success is just showing up. My opponent, John Campbell, disagrees.

He never shows up, and he doesn’t care who knows it. He thinks he owns this Congressional seat. I guess that’s why he never bothers to meet with city leaders, hold public town halls or attend public events.

He’ll show up to collect a paycheck at taxpayer expense, but he’ll never show up to debate during a campaign. That’s just plain wrong.

He doesn’t like to show up for votes either. He’s missed 314 votes since he took office – more than 100 in the past twelve months alone. When Congress was voting on the Jobs Bill, he was at a car show in Florida. Who knows where he was when Congress was voting to extend the first-time homebuyer’s tax credit, expand the GI Bill for our veterans or appropriate funding border security. He just had more important things to do, I guess.

I’ve seen firsthand what a poor representative John Campbell is. During my four years as Mayor of Irvine, he never once came to City Hall to meet with me, never once attended a public event, and never even sent a letter of congratulations when Irvine was recognized as the “Safest Big City in America” four years in a row. He just couldn’t be bothered.

That’s why I’m running! But it’s not my opinion that matters most in this election, it’s yours.

We need smart, courageous leadership to move America forward. If you’re tired of politicians who won’t even bother to show up, please contribute $25, $50, $100 or more TODAY! When I go to Congress, I’ll do the job you elect me to do. That’s a promise.

Sincerely,

beth sig
