“Latino voters, who have helped to propel California’s leftward political swing over recent years, remain reluctant to embrace Republican candidates as the November general election nears, a new Los Angeles Times/USC poll shows,” according to the L.A. Times.
Registered voters who identified themselves as Latino backed Democrat Jerry Brown by a 19-point margin over RepublicanMeg Whitman in the race for governor, despite Whitman’s multiple appeals to Latino voters during the general election campaign. Registered voters who identified themselves as white gave Brown a slim 2-point margin.
In the race for U.S. Senate, incumbent Democrat Barbara Boxer held a 38-point lead over Republican Carly Fiorinaamong registered Latino voters, five times the lead she held among white voters.
What does this mean for Republican Congressional candidate Van Tran, who is running against Congresswoman Loretta Sanchez in the 47th Congressional District?

This is why we need to have an over cite committee at polling stations with large amount of latino’s! I am certain that illegal Aliens are brought to the voting stations by corrupt latino activists/left wing scum!
The scum bringing third world people to vote for a left wing government has become the down fall of this state. Liberals are basically whores for federal money whether it is public workers/unions or non-profits. The left are a hugh lie and really are capitalist’s who prefer the easy pickings of federal dollars!
1. Loretta might not MENTION mortgage recovery on her website (as you mention later in your post) but she’s certainly been DOING something about it, as I posted about here:
http://www.orangejuiceblog.com/2010/09/loretta-brings-back-2-million-for-ocs-hard-hit-neighborhoods/
2. It’s bizarre how she runs away from immigration reform. I know she’s supposedly always working with Luis Gutierrez on it, but she totally seems to not want to be associated with it publicly?
3. Big bombshell likely in the next few weeks re. Loretta and the OC Fairgrounds (Vs. Van who originally voted to sell it and hasn’t done much at all one way or the other since, leaving it to Solorio who’s in another district.) Already said too much. But you got your first hint here.
It is good to be proud of one’s heritage and culture.
However, as CA Assemblyman Van Tran is termed-out, but IS STILL a member of the CA Assembly , (& is running for 47th CD), I find very strange and somewhat offensive that he does NOT display the California Flag, but instead he chooses to display a foreign flag over the California flag.
He can display ALL 3 flags (US; California and the Vietnamese flag and this would be okay, as long as he follows proper protocol).

A THIRD flag? But Van’s backdrop is already so garish. What’s that a muscled bluish Statue of Liberty and a whole socialist-realist fantasy cityscape behind him?
“Latino voters don’t support Republican candidates”…….. good!
It is Democrats who are deporting Latinos!…. more than republicans.
It was Democrats who build border fence in San Diego
It was Republican President R. Reagan who gave an amnesty to Latinos.
It was Republican President G. Bush who stated that is biggest disappointment during his presidency was his inability to gave amnesty to Latinos
List is long……..
This proves my claim that Latinos are not really intelligent people.
@ Stan F:
You say, “It is Democrats who are deporting Latinos!…. more than republicans.
It was Democrats who build border fence in San Diego”
My Response:
I am glad to see that you acknowledge that contrary to “popular” belief:
a) Democrats also follow and enforce the law, even at the risk of offending its democratic base! and
b) Perhaps you fail to realize that Democrats also recognize that Comprehensive Immigration Reform to be effective must also be accompanied by stronger border enforcement first.
@ Stan:
you say, “It was Republican President R. Reagan who gave an amnesty to Latinos.”
My Response:
What you fail to realize is that it was NOT ONLY President Reagan alone that accomplished the Amnesty of 1986 granting amnesty to about 2.3-2.5 million, but it also included the BIPARTISAN support of DEMOCRATS including support of Democratic Speaker of the House Tip O’Neill who “was an outspoken liberal Democrat and influential member of the US Congress, …serving 34 years… He was the Speaker of the House from 1977 until his retirement in 1987, making him the second longest-serving Speaker in US History after Sam Rayburn, and the longest consecutive serving Speaker.”
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tip_O%27Neill
@ Stan F:
You say, “It was Republican President G. Bush who stated that is biggest disappointment during his presidency was his inability to gave amnesty to Latinos”
My Response:
a) Putting all rhetoric aside and focusing on the facts, Comprehensive Immigration Reform, is a realistic and necessary answer for the well-being of our country and which benefits about 35% of non-Latinos.
b) Bush’s inability shows his inability to convince the Republican controlled Congress (Republicans controlled US Congress from 2000-2006), and it shows the Republicans refusal to act for the well-being of the nation…this failure to act has resulted in the undocumented immigration problem getting more aggravated, and the Democrats having to increase border security and enforcement to record levels.
@ Stan F:
You say, “This proves my claim that Latinos are not really intelligent people.”
My Response:
Actually, what this proves is your IGNORANCE of the facts, and your MISTAKEN ILLOGICAL ASSUMPTION that Latinos will only vote one way (If I recall correctly, Bush increased his support base within Latinos to about 44% the highest for any Republican). If majority of Latinos have been turned-off by the Republicans is because of the anti-Latino sentiment, exhibited primarily by the National GOP and other extremists, i.e. in 1994 (prop 187) and other recent initiatives that are really anti-Latino.
So get your FACTS STRAIGHT AND/OR CORRECT YOUR LOGIC and stop your STUPID COMMENTS…and once you do that, and you share the correct facts and the correct logic, you might hear me say, “You can learn a lot from a dummy”!

Francisco, I would appreciate if you could keep your replies to my comment short and pick only one point which is most important to you.
It is virtually impossible to keep responding to all your replies.
I do consider your lengthy replies a filibuster.
You have stated: “Perhaps you fail to realize that Democrats also recognize that Comprehensive Immigration Reform to be effective must also be accompanied by stronger border enforcement first.”…….. Rep. John McCain call it “banana”. Same think.
However, I am against the fences and pro open borders. I was living 22 years behind the iron curtain build by socialists and liberals. The Chines empire died behind the Great Wall.
Only deterrent against the massive exodus of Mexicans is to cut welfare not work.
I am pro supply and demand free market so if you can find work and can pay taxes you should get permission to work. No work you must go back or wait for legal emigration status…. NO WELFARE.
Mexicans are like pigeons, they always return home but fences prevent them from doing that so they stuck on one side of the border.
This Comprehensive Immigration Reform is another prohibition bullshit design by the socialists and liberals…… to put cube of sugar behind the fence a and let hungry people stare at it.
How long do you think it will take before the people jump the fence?…….. it took me 22 years to realize that I should abandon the democrats, socialists and liberals and join the free world of the capitalism and free market forces.
The jump was illegal but rest was legal emigration process via the refuge camps. I had to wait….
@ Stan F:
I reply to your comments that are “all over the map” and oftentimes unclear.
John McCain “banana” comment – UNCLEAR.
@ Stan F:
PART I:
you say, “I am against the fences and pro open borders. I was living 22 years behind the iron curtain build by socialists and liberals . . . took me 22 years to realize that I should abandon the democrats, socialists and liberals and join the free world of the capitalism and free market forces.”
My Response:
a) It was a DEMOCRATIC President (Roosevelt) and Democratic Controlled US Congress that enabled the LIBERATION of Europe and the Pacific from Fascists and Nazis, with America leading the way with the “Greatest Generation” and kept the WORLD FREE (with its ARSENAL OF DEMOCRACY)
b) The Marshall Plan (European Recovery Program) of 1947-1951was a primary program, for rebuilding and creating a stronger economic foundation for the countries of Europe..this required Billions in Economic and Technical assistance from the US, under a DEMOCRATIC President (Harry Truman)…This “stimulus” was necessary and critical to help Europe recover from the devastation of WWII, and facilitated the Free Enterprise system.
c) The Berlin Airlift of Jun 1947 – May 1948 (to counter the Soviets a former WWII ally) was again under a DEMOCRATIC President.
d) The support for East Germans after the Soviets built the Berlin Wall, was again under a Kennedy, a DEMOCRAT.
e) Being a Christian is about thinking about the COMMUNITY and SOCIETY at large (oh no – socialists in the midst)… and because of Pope John Paul II’s and President Reagan’s opposition to Communism after a lengthy “Cold War” through various administrations (both Democrat and Republican) most of communism was defeated and Eastern Europe was again free.
The point of the Above (a-e), is that there is an error in OVERSIMPLIFYING and supporting or opposing something strictly on Party label…to do so undermines CRITICAL and OBJECTIVE thinking.
PART II:
With respect to your comment of you being “against fences and pro open borders”:
One side of me agrees with you…for example, a main difference between NAFTA and EU is that in NAFTA you have FREE FLOWS of GOODS and SOME SERVICES (provided by people) VS. the EU where you have FREE FLOWS of GOODS, SERVICES AND PEOPLE. The EU has improved dramatically because of this.
Unfortunately, in the US we spend Billions in securing the Border and Criminalizing people (undocumented immigrants) who by-in-large are contributing to the US Economy; however, another side of me, finds the securing of the borders necessary because some EXTREMISTS RADICAL i.e. as the 9-11 terrorists see the US as the symbol of the West and they are opposed to what the West stands for.
Unfortunately, the problem is that border enforcement is done by itself when it MUST also be accompanied by Comprehensive Immigration Reform, “Free Flow of People – back and forth between borders” in an effective an efficient manner to respond to America’s economic needs, and to free up the Law Enforcement and Border Enforcement personnel to fight against true threats against the US i.e. Jihadi Extremists.
To have open borders would imply ignoring the LARGER dangers of global terrorism, which at this point, and I think for decades to come, we will NOT be able to ignore, if we want to be safer from global terrorists.
PART III:
You say, “Mexicans are like pigeons, they always return home”
I say…for many Americans of Mexican descent and others this is home and has been so, for centuries!
You also say, “The jump was illegal but rest was legal emigration process via the refuge camps. I had to wait….”
My Response:
You say you came via a REFUGEE status…interesting…the DIFFERENCE between refugees and undocumented immigrants is that REFUGEES are ENTITLED and DO Receive WELFARE, and OTHER ENTITLEMENTS IMMEDIATELY…and certain NGO’s are paid by the US govt to “look after” and facilitate the integration of these REFUGEES.
Undocumented immigrants are NOT entitled to receive many of these benefits, and even LEGAL residents HAVE TO WAIT AT LEAST FIVE YEARS before they qualify for these entitlements…while they pay taxes (from which REFUGEES FREELY BENEFIT ).

@ Stanislav F:
With respect to your “Banana” Comment by John McCain you said,
“If you do not know something ask and if you are stupid inform yourself.”
My Response:
a) I looked up the term…Senator John McCain used it back in 2006 when he WAS IN SUPPORT of COMPREHENSIVE IMMIGRATION REFORM (CIR)…he used it in reference to people who were calling his efforts in support of CIR “Amnesty”. He chastised his critics because he felt they were TRIVIALIZING CIR efforts and said they might as well call it a “Banana” or some other term.
b) However, I think you first used the term with NO CONTENT, and NO CONTEXT, which made it unclear…(I might as well look up the term “Fruit of the Loom” next time you mention a fruit, or become a “basket-case” of “Ape Bananas”).
c) You confuse knowledge and Intelligence…
for example, you MAY KNOW your name, but you may still Lack Intelligence; or
someone may NOT KNOW Jiri Vanek ( or Jiří Vaněk) and still have intelligence.

MQ says:
And the California people knew that welfare for illegal immigrants was going to become not only costly but bring more illegal immigrants to this land and that is why the California people said YES on prop 187 and ONE ACTIVIST judge ruled against the people!
What needs to happen is that judges need to be watched very carefully by the people to evaluate their loyalty to this country and its citizens! I Think the ruling of any Federal Judge needs to be seen as a potential threat to this country. The left wing has infiltrated, big time in law schools and in the court room; especially the federal court room!
And the people where right, illegal immigrants have become the new black America!
What needs to happen is that any law passed must NOT violate the US Constitution (for example, Prop 187 was ruled unconstitutional)…Judges serve that function and we must respect their Constitutional ruling, even when we disagree with the outcome…especially because laws passed by the majority, which violate the constitutional rights of a minority group, must always be closely scrutinized.
I think its more unconstitutional to make taxpayers pay for the children of another nations poor!
What happened is the judge was a left winger like you who forced the people of this country to board and care for the people of another Nation!
Take it from the cititzen and give it to the non-citizen? Sounds unconstitutional to me! In fact it sounds like a rip off.
Not too mention the fact that in Santa Ana School district the kids get free breakfast and lunch; paid by the taxpayer (No matter the income of the parent).
Is it not unconstitutional to cater to one group by taking from another or giving less to the other?
We have got to stop feeding, clothing and pampering the minorities; they are like the adults who just won’t leave the nest!
I say kick them out!
@ Michelle Q:
You say, “I think its more unconstitutional to make taxpayers pay for the children of another nations poor!”
Is it UN-constitutional for LEGAL immigrants to pay for the children of this nation’s poor? . . . my point is you are going down a slippery-slope and down a “moral hazard”.
@ Michelle Q:
In reference to Prop 187 (of 1994), you say “What happened is the judge was a left winger like you who forced the people of this country to board and care for the people of another Nation”.
Such predictable worn-out clichés . . . “left-winger” – This so called “left winger” judge “like me” was following
a) Constitutional Law and Constitutional Precedent i.e. as the Supremacy Clause of the US Constitution and other sections;
b) that of Plyer vs Doe of 1982; and
c) our American Values in furtherance of Health, Safety and good long-term Public Policy.
These so called “Activitist” “Left-Wing” judges are the ones who prohibited Constitutional violations i.e. Black people being treated as slaves and property.
@ Michelle Q:
You also say, “Not too mention the fact that in Santa Ana School district the kids get free breakfast and lunch; paid by the taxpayer (No matter the income of the parent).”
My Response:
a) THIS IS FALSE . . . for example, WE PAID for my step-son’s meals in Santa Ana, because I was in a HIGHER income tax bracket – so my income as a parent was taken into consideration.
b) Also, by the way, I paid for my step-son’s meals even though I was in a LOWER tax bracket because I stopped working for pay, burning my own savings, to volunteer in the community with the not-for-profits that you falsely malign.
@ Michelle Q:
You say, “We have got to stop feeding, clothing and pampering the [MINORITIES]; they are like the adults who just won’t leave the nest! I say kick them out!”
My Response:
The problem is the POVERTY that all countries will generally have with some of its citizens, unless we invest significantly in our citizens, and the fact that because of our Capitalistic system we will always need a “SAFETY NET” to prevent UNEMPLOYED Americans, and families with children from being ravaged by the LOSS OF A JOB or a MEDICAL CATASTROPHE.
The danger of your simplistic statements, is that IT SHOWS YOUR HATRED OF MINORITIES, IRRESPECTIVE OF LEGAL STATUS…even though you claim otherwise.

I am glad you asked!
If American citizen loses their job: They go on unemployment in most cases; which they paid into!
If an illegal Alien is no longer employed they look to welfare which they did not pay into because in most cases they are paid under the table!
“medical catastrophe”
If an American Citizen faced medical Catastrophe, most likely they would either pay for it for a very long time or lose everything they have.
If you are an Illegal Alien, you would automatically receive either MSI. Medical (CALOPTIMA).
” 9. FREE, FREE, FREE (EXCEPT FOR BEING ENSLAVED TO POVERTY AND LACK OF OPPORTUNITY for yourself and your family)”
And who’s fault is that? If you went to France did not speak French and did not have legal authority to work in France, I expect you would be poor too!
Is then France responsible for you?
The “safety nets” are meant to help American citizens not Mexico/Central Americans poor; that is what charity if for!
If you are an American Citizen most likely you earned too much last year to get assistance. Illegal Aliens just need to get a check off a friend an claim low pay!
Its stupid, ridiculous and needs to be stopped!
Oh by the Way Michelle Q:
While you are distracted in your crusade against “minorities” your buddy CA Assemblyman Van Tran (Republican) is “working” very hard to GAME THE SYSTEM and “double-dip” by UNETHICALLY profiting from the $136,000 of TAX FREE per-diem perk, on top of his high salary.
Francisco, it is not unethical to take the money, it is the system that the state govenment uses for all of them.
TRan’s problem is that he lives in Sacramento now.
@Cook:
I understand your point that the receipt of a tax-free “per diem” perk is not unethical per se; however, “gaming the system” as CA Assemblyman Van Trans is demonstrated to have done to receive this perk, this I consider unethical, and I think most CA taxpayers do too.
A candidate may NOT HAVE ALL THE ANSWERS OR EXPERIENCE, but at least we EXPECT HIM OR HER TO HAVE ETHICS and INTEGRITY . . . to me this action by CA Assemblyman Van Tran goes to the heart of his ethics or lack of them.
So in this race, I think you have TWO other choices for 47th CD – either long-term US Rep Loretta SANCHEZ,(Democrat) or Cecilia IGLESIAS (Independent)!
P.S. And for the CA Assembly District 68th being vacated, I think we have a very good choice on PHU NGUYEN.

The civil rights era was all about the equal treatment of black’s. Today it’s all about destroying the fabric of what has made this country great… Its’s about payback!
As far as Santa Ana School District getting a free Breakfast and Lunch program: The Department of Agriculture (also known as just another socialist program) gave Santa Ana School District a grant to feed ALL the children in the district; no matter the income.
“The danger of your simplistic statements, is that IT SHOWS YOUR HATRED OF MINORITIES, IRRESPECTIVE OF LEGAL STATUS…even though you claim otherwise.”
If it was a minority of Irish people reaking the system, then of course they would be in my sights too. I don’t think you hate your own people, I just think YOU think you are gifted unlike the rest of your latino rift raft!
Hate is a usless emotion that men usual express; I have yet to see women stoning other women with such haterd! This world is full of hate, mostly expressed by men!

This was just in the summer!
This is called socialism! The fact is the parents of these kids as well as the very abled bodied 18 years olds are too lazy to get up and make a breakfast and pack a lunch themselves. This state and well as the county have created a welfare entitled population. The result is single mother’s, increased teen pregnancy rates, dead beat parents and drop out’s from school; which of course increases crime!
I think this is what Cuba’s government was talking about when they referred to their people as being too dependent on handouts!
The Mexican traditional meals tend to be very healthy…. American government food programs are not!
Obesity in Santa Ana is rampant, because of laziness not poverty!
If Tran is up to stopping all of this ridiculous inequalities then I am on his side, If he is not “GET THE HELL OUT OF THE WAY.”
