Swearing-In Ceremony for Orange County Treasurer Shari L. Freidenrich
“It is my deepest honor and privilege to perform the Invocation at Shari’s Swearing-in Ceremony Today!” by Francisco “Paco” Barragan, Commander
UMAVA (United Mexican-American Veterans Association)
I know that our County’s Treasury is in great hands with Shari Freidenrich, a very uniquely talented professional with the highest ethical and professional standards, and who also has extensive support, and I am happy that myself, the Orange Juice Blog, and other veterans, and community leaders were able to lend our support to Shari in her victorious election, which is really a victory for our County!
Shari will be responsible for approximately $6 Billion in Investments. She is also expected to successfully use her extensive professional audit experience to improve processes.
Shari won with 367,128 votes (54.6%) in this very competitive race.

Francisco is a Past President of The Inst. of Internal Auditors – OC Chapter (of which Shari has been a member of); Past President of ALPFA-OC; and Commander of UMAVA; and a seasoned Chief Audit Executive for multinational manufacturing companies.
Francisco. A great honor.
While I had planned to attend we were tied up this afternoon.
Looking foreward to any Juice coverage of the event
I would have gone, but was tied up this week with census training.
Congrats on the honor, but what’s with this universal proclamation…

OJ is a collection of independent writers, and like most blog sites our writers don’t work in concert. In fact I have never met you. So how is it that “OJB” lent it’s support to Shari?
Maybe a bit of hyperbole, but by the time of the election, me (the editor) Art (publisher) Francisco and Larry were all on the Freidenrich wagon. She came on our radio show too, last Wednesday of October. Wish we had the tape of that – she and Paco spoke financial circles around my head…
That leaves out a few writers who didn’t make any specific statement that I can recall, but it’s pretty wide bipartisan support among the main bloggers we had back then. And you weren’t even here yet, Luke Skywalker!!!
Luke. Where to begin? My Clippers knocking off the Heat. That was sweat.
Ask Shari if we have not met at several events along with my including her in my voter recommendation report for which she personally thanked me.
The truth is that there is no “i” in teamwork. As pointed out by Vern several of us felt she was the best qualifed candidate and got behind her campaign.
There are many ways in which you can support a candidate for political office.
In this case members of the Juice family did it with our keyboards
Good points, I wasn’t with OJ then. And if it was mostly a group effort, I can see why it would be easier to make a blanket statement. I’ll admit, I’m tad sensitive on these kinds of issues, I just think, as a matter of courtesy, specific people could be mentioned instead of a blanket statement, perhaps I’m being overly sensitive.
“My Clippers knocking off the Heat. That was sweat.”
Yeah, them fellers sure sweat a lot!
