“Once social change begins, it cannot be reversed. You cannot uneducate the person who has learned to read. You cannot humiliate the person who feels pride. You cannot oppress the people who are not afraid anymore. We have seen the future, and the future is ours.” – César E. Chávez!

Cesar Chavez day celebration – organized by Solevar, Agape House of Prayer and Anaheim’s parks department – to be held from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday April 2 at the Betsy Ross Park Pavilion (corner of Walnut/Santa Ana in Anaheim) – Thanx to Theresa Cisneros for providing the information!

*Side note, after speaking with community activist Seferino Garcia on the phone, who helps put together the event, he made mention of his efforts, past and present, to get street names and parks in Anaheim and Santa Ana named after Cesar Chavez. The time has come, no? Look at all the worship of Zombie Reagan in OC — How about a little recognition for Chavez en el corazon of la otra OC?

UPDATE: Local event canceled according to organizer
