The election to fill the vacancy caused by 3rd District Supervisor Bill Campbell’s 2012 departure is starting to shape up as a slugfest between Todd Spitzer and Chuck Devore.
Um. no thanks, I've already eaten.
An interesting choice, but one that may cause some to wonder if a better choice isn’t available to succeed Campbell. The departure of latter, who has been just about as liberal, big government a RINO as is humanly possible, presents an opportunity for some real small government conservatism.
That would not be me.
Enter Todd Spitzer. Fired by the DA last August for, well forget what for, it hardly matters anymore.
First of all Bill Cambell has been a prize on the OC Board of Supervisors. He solo strikeout
years back on 3 at 50 Pensions aside…..Bill is a wonderful person and without doubt has set a high watermark for District #3. We are going to support Chuck….solely because of his track record of Conservatism and less invasive government.
In any event, we hope whichever candidate is ultimately successful…will be providing the same sort of Newsletter support that Bill does….week in and week out. Very cool.
We also are wishing Bill and Mary a wonderful future….doing exactly as they want…for however they want.

Bozo voted for 3@50 while in the Legislature. On the BOS he voted for the disastrous 2.7@55 for the paper pushers.

P.S. I don’t know about Mary, but what Campbell wants to do is come back and lobby the BOS.
Yeah, Campbell is swell. He is letting the “worst public administrator ever” collect his two salaries (plus I hear he applied to re-instate is total disability retirement from the Marshall’s) while all he has to do is show up a couple of times a week to sign documents. Then he sent the worst assistant public administrator/District Attorney fiancee Peggi Buff packing to another department at a slightly less salary instead of to the unemployment line. Friends protecting friends.
