The four major last guys standing in the Republican Presidential horse race found a very interesting night at the polls for Minnesota, Missouri and Colorado last night. Rick Santorum made the sweep of all three states an interesting side note to a very confusing messy Republican Presidential selection process. Santorum won by sizeable margins, although it was a lot closer with Mitt Romney in the Colorado race.
The Corporate Raider moniker might just be sticking on “No Quit in Mitt!” Romney seemed gracious in making sure he congratulated Santorum several times while blasting the Obama Administration, in his not so much a concession speech. In spite of the Mormon issue and his Corporate Raider status, as well as his RomneyCare in Massachusetts issue, Mitt seems to be having mixed emotions about attacking Santorum directly.
Newt Gingrich was safely tucked away in Ohio, away from the fray. Newt wasn’t even on the ballot in Missouri because he had been DQ’d (disqualified) there. The paid political consultant/lobbyist/teacher/jewelry salesman is gathering bearly double digit votes, nip and tuck with tail dragger Ron Paul. Paul seemed upbeat and looking forward to better days on Super Tuesday, March 6th.
Rick Santorum, wherever he comes out truly is “the most likeable” of the four remaining candidates. A Catholic….with some strange views on a few things, Santorum still seems the most genuine in his beliefs. Can he or could he beat President Obama? The better guess is that we will all have to just sit and wait until the next big election day on March 6th!
Romney still has $56 million bucks…..Santorum….just a couple of million. “Bucks make the man!” so they say – so we will see how much cash Rick can bring in before Super Tuesday.
Rick clicked …..last night…..now let’s wait and see what will be next.
Do I have to warn you two about your language again? We are trying to have a family-friendly site here!
*What Dr. Vern, we didn’t say Rush Limbaugh….even once!
YOU know what you did….

*Is that the same as what the Indians called “Sign”? Or more like what Bill Clinton called “the ML Speckeled Eaglet”….kind of like that?

Since people keep asking – and love the photo up top – here’s credit: The idea for a Santorum image with “Go Froth and Conquer” was Diamond’s. But he made his with a different Santorum photo, and the caption at the bottom which wouldn’t show up on our front page, so I made the above version. He likes his better, because he likes the gesture Rick is making. Here’s that one. Feel free to use them anybody, they come from the Orange Juice Blog, Orange County’s Political Mosh Pit!
One nice thing about my friendship with Vern is that while we both enjoy producing creative art, music, lyrics, and such, we’re OK with the other one thinking that their particular effort in a given instance is better. Of course, I am always right. Of course, he is also always right. (It’s a paradox.) Frankly, I like both versions.
