Voice of OC has the story.

The former Marine Corps Air Station El Toro is outlined in yellow. The state-approved site of the cemetery is in orange. The proposed new site of the cemetery, given a land swap, is in blue. The FBI site is in green. The 5 and 405 are both highlighted in pink. Their junction, the “El Toro Y,” is at the western tip of the site in blue — what one might call the “Gateway to Irvine.”
From the article:
Gov. Jerry Brown and two top Assembly Democratic leaders will visit the proposed veterans cemetery site at the former El Toro Marine Corps Air Station in Irvine within the next several weeks, Assemblywoman Sharon Quirk-Silva said Friday.
I hope that he’ll be visiting both of them.
*This is a very good sign. Hopefully, DTJB will be able to get the ear of the Fed Veteran’s Administration…..to secure some Cemetary Funds for this project. This would indeed
make all the difference and change the dynamics of the situation. All prior service folks should be contacting their Congress people to ask for help too on this issue.
Let us pray!
*According to Mimi Walters Office…the VA is donating $10 Million for the cemetery……
and the process.
