It’s a tough life being a California State Senator. Long hours and plenty of travel are needed to serve the people of the 29th District, which stretches from Cypress to Chino Hills, Rowland Heights to Yorba Linda, and includes parts of three different counties. For State Senator Bob Huff, who represents, the 29th, what better place to discuss the important challenges facing 18 different cities than the Hawaiian Island of Mau’i?
The Los Angeles Times is reporting that some legislators from California are flying to Mau’i to meet with representatives from “oil companies, public employee unions, drug and tobacco firms, and others.” at the luxurious Fairmont Kea Lani Hotel in Wailea…
Don’t be like the Times, there are a shitload of other legislators over there.
Do I think it’s a good thing they get a paid holiday by those who want to lobby them? NO
I also don’t think it’s fair to single out one guy when there are plenty of other folks doing the same thing and I would bet there are more Democrats than Republicans over there getting the feedbag on, since the D’s control the legislative process in Sacramento. I think it’s totally biased to single out one person or as the Times did to put all the R’s in the story and then mention a couple of D’s later in the copy. It just reeks of bias!
Yeah, except that this sack of corruption represents Fullerton. He doesn’t deserve attention because others are doing it, too? That’s lame, brother.
Also been senate minority leader ever since the equally corrupt Ackerman got termed out. So he’s not just any corrupt Sacramento politician.
I’d love to publish the whole list of those attending. Where could we find it?
Dave is right, Carl. I wrote about Bob Huff because he represents Fullerton (among other cities). Feel free to write about any of your representatives also attending this farce.
I have NO clue where the list is. My understanding is they don’t publish one. I would love to see it too. My point is that with the balance of power in CA being with the Dem’s it would be reasonable to assume that they would be the majority of attendees at this pig trough…
I get so tired of reading the media’s biased crap, but I guess in this polarized world we get one side or the other and very little balanced journalism anymore.
