#MARDIGRAS2022 🥳
Are you broke AF & can’t afford the trip to #NOLA ❓(New Orleans, LA?) #Noworries … we’ll have us some #BIGLYFUN “rightcheer” (that’s #Cajun for “right here”) in #theOC …. yup…. LEW-SIANA style party & it’s got a name & hashtag of its very own:
#NOLAinOC 😋
My name is Love Cameron & my mantra is be better not bitter. But if bitter is your thing….make sure it’s #Angostura cuz ain’t no better type of bitter 😛
Everyone needs a hobby 😉 Mine is finding new & creative ways to mess with the SPITSter. And in the Spirit of #MardiGras, I’m going to stick it to #trailerparktodd the best way I know how: jack his NON-PATENTED hashtag!
Come on y’all… #youknowhattimeitis – time to amp up our #partyvibes …. and what better way to do it than spread the hell out of my OC #FatTuesday tag:
#NOLAinOC!
Yes, y’all read that legit right. It’s going to be #YUGE.
Some solid reasons to spread the hashtag:
- You seen this local #MardiGras event it’s gonna be bangin 💥 & you want to share it on social media …. or
- You just want to invite your peeps to hang at a bar …..and pretend your in #NOLA …or
- Maybe you & your crew are trying to coordinate a #barcrawl where you prowl HB armed with tawdry beads in the fervent hopes some skeezers might display a view of the Mountains 🏔️ …. or
Now, because the social media algorithms don’t discriminate based on capitalization (or lack thereof) ….if you do it right , soon #toddthefraud won’t have a brand anymore.
But methinks in light of the endorsements he’s been losing recently in record numbers AND that some of his biggest cheerleaders are now falling all over themselves tryin to distance themselves from him …..he may not even notice 🙈
But who cares? 😇 IDGAF!
Don’t get Mad, get Even 💋
#NOLAintheOC ….#pimpit , baby 😘
Do it for your gurl, Love Cameron.
And if you can’t bring yourself to….do it for my partner-in-crime Luis M Huang. Cheers 🍻 🥂
Hats off to Vern Nelson 🤠 who thinks my #letsgobrandon shirt makes the #santaana #starbucks look good 🤩 Thanks to Ms Donna & props to her #fineyoungman. I hope he gets back on track and becomes a outspoken activist for #justiceforall ⚖️
EDIT: I’m of the mind that everyone & anyone who sincerely works at turning their life around, atones for their prior mistakes / misdeeds & does NOT continue in a pattern of criminal behavior: deserves a shot at their best life and positively no-one who has righted their wrongs should be shackled by their past. Everyone is worthy of Redemption .
it was necessary to clarify this because I don’t want to be seen as promoting the ideology that anyone who continues to harm society or repeats prior offenses should be given a pass.
Also, by way of DISCLAIMER : I don’t know how or why the subject of police shootings & Todd Spitzer s handling thereof became interspersed with this, but I choose to distance myself from Vern’s additions below. I do in fact believe that some of those shootings WERE justified. At least one of which I am aware definitely was NOT. But if I had known I couldve offered my view in advance.
I agree Spitzer’s hashtag is demented. I disagree that it’s racist. I’m not one of those who slaps the racist label on everything I don’t like . My perspective is that the majority of LA is unsafe & always has been . Not the gated communities where the rich & powerful reside ( with armed guards ) . I personally would not want to live in LA as a middle – class person. Spitzers hashtag might be retarded but I don’t agree it’s a racist dog whistle either.
I made those edits because I’m a conservative and have worked hard to establish my credentials. The subject of police shootings would be ideally in a separate blog post. I choose not to whip out the race card everytime I don’t like something. btw: I’m a South Asian female & probably could if I wanted to.
I just wanted to be abundantly clear as to what my views are.
Thanks for reading. Enjoy your day. oh & #toddspitzerforprison2022
BELOW, Vern Nelson will take over, to:
- remind you of the reasons we need to defeat Todd Spitzer this year, and
- list some good places in Orange County where you can celebrate Fat Tuesday and Mardi Gras this week, because we truly DO want to be a useful #NOLAinOC resource!
Why Spit Out Spitzer this June & November?
- Recently Love Cameron assembled a staggering list of ways in which DA Spitzer has not served the cause of justice while acting as OCDA…
- And many commenters added more to her story!
- Exactly like his predecessor, he has found ways to excuse EVERY SINGLE KILLING by OC police and sheriffs with the old cliché, “He FEARED FOR HIS LIFE!” (this is a big deal to Vern and many others although L.C. disagrees)
- Another one from Vern – the latest revelation of Todd inquiring into whether a black man had dated white women in the past as part of the decision to pursue the death penalty; the outrage of his colleagues; his firing of a whistleblower in that crowd for phony reasons; and his breaking his own “Marsy’s Law” by not informing the victims’ family when he decided to ditch the death penalty to cover up his racist remarks.
- How much more will we have to add to this list before June and/or November?
Vern wants to add one more point – the stupid original hashtag that Spitzer invented for himself, “No LA in OC,” already sounded borderline racist. (Although Todd always had convoluted ways of explaining it all away – which you shouldn’t have to do with a decent phrase.) To the average OC person, LA is an overwhelming place filled with black people; in fact the origin of our population boom here was our fearful white parents and grandparents fleeing from scary LA in the 60’s and 70’s with its Watts Riots, poverty and crime. This latest report of Todd obsessing over black men dating white women just adds to that perception. (Love Cameron sees this differently – see above.)
So I’m very glad Love Cameron had the inspiration to retool this hashtag in celebration of Mardi-Gras! Below, see some OC places where you really CAN experience #NOLAinOC in these coming 9 days!
NOW, seriously, get your #NOLAinOC
(first few entries from “Living Mi Vida Loca“)
Ralph Brennan’s Jazz Kitchen at Downtown Disney
1590 South Disneyland Drive
Anaheim, CA 92802
(714) 776-5200
www.rbjazzkitchen.com/
“I went to this location to celebrate Mardi Gras because they had a special menu that day and they also had live jazz music. My friend and I sat at the bar with our masks on and beads around our neck. Bar seating was open and to sit at a table they recommended that you make reservations ahead of time. We sat at the bar which was very close to the live jazz music. Live music is available nightly at this establishment and will be available on Mardi Gras as well. Some of the food featured was creole jambalaya, mini king’s cake for dessert and an alcoholic drink named the Hurricane. The Hurricane drink is from New Orleans and is made with rum, fruit juice and syrup or grenadine. King’s cake is a bread that is also native to New Orleans and it is usually stuffed with a small plastic baby. Whoever cuts the slice with the baby in it gets to host the next party.
“Ralph Brennan’s Jazz Kitchen is a lot of fun and family friendly as well. In 2015, the restaurant was handing out beads to the children. If you are looking for a place that specializes in New Orleans’ cuisine then you can expect to try out some delicious food. The Mardi Gras party usually lasts all day, but expect it to get busier in the evening hours.” #NOLAinOC!
UPDATE FROM THE PLACE ITSELF:
We will have live music on both floors from 6:00pm-10:00pm, specialty menu items, drink specials, mini King Cakes for dessert, and we will be crowning our Jazz Kitchen King & Queen!
Don’t forget to wear your Mardi Gras best—our costume contest will be on our main stage at 7:30PM. #NOLAinOC!
Pretend City Children’s Museum

Irvine, CA 92618

In the United States, many cities celebrate the day with a Mardi Gras parade. The largest celebration takes place in New Orleans, Louisiana. People dress up in bright and crazy looking costumes. The parades have all sorts of colorful floats and marching bands. This year, Pretend City is hosting our very own Mardi Gras Celebration. “Laissez les bons temps rouler!” is French for “Let the good times roll!” It’s one of the most popular sayings during Mardi Gras. Join us at Pretend City and let the good times roll in our own Mardi Gras just for kids. Sing, dance, and bake your way through the museum and end the day with a festive parade down our city streets. #NOLAinOC!

I ‘d like to enter a #notguiltyplea as regards larceny of a hashtag …. cuz it ain’t even copyrighted
Y’all DO realize that if Spitzer were to resign right now, the BOS would appoint a replacement (surely a Republican, maybe the one who has filed) who would run to keeo the office, meaning that Pete Hardin loses, right? You should want Spitzer to resign right after filing closes. But go ahead; you be you!
The “view the mountains” comment made be realize that there was a hidden joke in the title of a movie I never saw: “The Hills Have Eyes.”
Anyway, good riff on a bad hashtag, LC!
I loved the original Wes Craven Hills Have Eyes. Which meant I never wanted to see the remake which was prolly stoopid.
I too would like to spend NOLA in OC #NOLAinOC.
I appreciate Vern giving me the opportunity to publish the #NOLAinOC article. I don’t know how the subject of the other stuff became interspersed. But I wanted to clarify that those views aren’t aligned with my own.
What views aren’t aligned with your own?
OK I see what you added. Remember I said that Todd justifies EVERY killing; I didn’t say that NONE of them are ever justifiable.
And I added your new meme right after what you wrote just now:
*Who Dat? Well, the best thing we can say is that Toddy Boy looks nothing like Vlade Putin. “If I’m lyin, I’m dyin!” for both. Anyway, can’t wait to see the beer cans up to their knees during Mardi Gras in New Orleans. Pat O’Brien’s will be cookin! The beads will be falling from high on the third story cat houses and life will be good! Maybe we can get a “Kickstarter” page going to get them both free flight fare to Bourbon Street.
Todd is getting slammed over at the VOC
#NOLAinOC!!! I had a Great #FatTuesday today bringing New Orleans LA to the OC and thereabouts, playing #MardiGras music for folks in Yorba Linda and Chino Hills, and then telling the Anaheim City Council all about the #Cajun restaurant #ToddSpitzer plans to open after he resigns as DA. (Just don’t look at the butter knife!) Again, #NOLAinOC!
The Winships asked me to put this up for them:
*Anna stumbled onto to this local restaurant – Iva Lee’s in San Clemente! https://www.ivalees.com/
We celebrated Fat Tuesday in full regalia…….Don’t forget we are Buddist, Methodist,
Lutherans….. All inclusive however…we even like Pope Frank!
rw
So if you didn’t know what the Winships look like, now you know!
