It looks like Harry Sidhu is running for Norby’s Supervisorial seat

Surprise!  Even though Anaheim Councilman Harry Sidhu has been called a carpetbagger, he appears to be serious about running for Chris Norby’s Supervisorial seat, in the Fourth District.  And Sidhu has rallied quite a few Anaheim figures behind him, including the current Mayor, Curt Pringle.

This cannot be good news for former Anaheim Mayor Tom Daly, who is currently the Orange County Clerk-Recorder.  Daly is a Democrat who has been endorsed by GOP consultant John Lewis and his cabal.

If Anaheim Councilwoman Lorri Galloway runs too, Daly will be really screwed.

I have enclosed a list of Sidhu’s Honorary Host Committee members above.  They include, besides Pringle, the Mayors of Stanton and Garden Grove, and Council Members from Brea, Stanton, Cypress, Placentia, and Anaheim.  He appears to have no supporters in Fullerton or La Habra.

The other Republican candidate is conservative Fullerton Councilman Shawn Nelson.  There is also a chance that La Habra Councilwoman Rose Espinoza will run as well.  She is a Democrat, as is Galloway.

There is something fishy about all this.  Take a look at the fundraiser details, above.  Red Klownty blogger Chris Emami is working with Sidhu.  Now I know that Chris lives in Anaheim Hills, if memory serves correct, but you have to wonder if Lewis and his boy Jerbal have recruited Sidhu in order to dilute the GOP vote, so their chosen Democrat, Daly, can win.

According to Norby’s website, the fourth district includes the Cities of Anaheim, Buena Park, Fullerton, La Habra and Placentia.  The district has a slight Latino majority.  I don’t know why Sidhu is touting the support of so many city officials who are not in the Fourth District, but then I am told that Sidhu himself does not live in the Fourth District.

Sidhu made his fortune as a franchise owner of a bunch of Pollo Loco restaurants.  He ran against Mimi Walters last year for a State Senate seat and they both resorted to anti-mexican mailers.  Walters won that race, but I think Sidhu damaged himself in the process.
