Free hamburgers at medicinal pot rally tonight in Lake Forest

OC Weedly

They say that smoking marijuana gives one the munchies, in which case tonight’s medicinal pot rally makes some sense.  They will be giving away 1,000 hamburgers to those who show up to protest.  The rally starts at 7 pm, at the Lake Forest City Council meeting, located at 25550 Commercentre Drive, Suite #100, in Lake Forest.  Click here to get more info.

In related news, the campaign to “Tax and Regulate Marijuana” is having another organizing meeting tomorrow, Oct. 7, at 8 pm, at 1914 S. Main St., in Santa Ana.  Parking available on street, wheelchair accessible.

And here is a description of this campaign:

It’s Time to Reform California’s Cannabis Laws!
California voters believe that our laws criminalizing cannabis (marijuana) have failed. According to an April statewide Field Poll, a majority, 56 percent support legalizing cannabis.

The time for reform is now.

The Regulate, Control, and Tax Cannabis Act of 2010 will:

  • Regulate cannabis like alcohol: Allow adults 21 and older in California to posses up to one ounce of cannabis
  • Give local governments the ability to tax and regulate the sale of cannabis to adults 21 and older
  • Generate billions of dollars in revenue to fund what matters most in California: jobs, healthcare, public safety, schools and libraries, state parks, roads, transportation, and more
