I never miss the monthly Democracy For America (DFA) meeting, first Wednesday of every month. They’re just fun, and we get stuff done! We meet at the Karl Strauss Brewery, 901 South Coast Drive in Costa Mesa, around 7:15, but get there before 6:30 to socialize and get cheaper happy-hour snacks & drinks! Worried about your local schools? Especially since the governor has proposed another slash and burn budget and school districts face even more cuts. Anaheim Union High School District Trustee Jordan Brandman will speak and answer your questions about the challenges facing our public schools. He will also share innovative ideas for increasing revenue.
Orange County has an exciting new candidate for the 68th Assembly District – Phu Nguyen. Phu’s background in community action and leadership is too extensive to list here – so we’ve invited him to share his story and campaign plans in person. The 68th AD includes all or part of Costa Mesa, Fountain Valley,Garden Grove, Westminster,Stanton, Anaheim and Newport Beach. Let’s help him win in November!

Our monthly collection! Each month we collect items to support groups serving the community. This month you have a choice – bring your donation for one or all of the following:

I was impressed that the O.C. GOP recently showed their meeting live on the internet. When will the O.C. Democratic Party do the same?
” The menu is diverse ”
Glad to see that diversity extends all the way to the menu in the Democratic party!
#1. I don’t generally go to DPOC things – don’t have the stomach or patience for it – so I couldn’t tell you. I’m more comfortable with somewhat insurgent groups.
#2. Right on. Still the nachos with chicken are the best.
