It looks to me like there is going to be an exciting campaign this year in the 68th State Assembly District. I am planning to be at the kickoff to what promises to be a hard fought race for this seat.
The Phu Nguyen Campaign will be having their Grand opening and kickoff this coming Saturday in Fountain Valley. It will start at 9:30 am. The office will be located at 16151 Brookhurst St in Fountain Valley.
For more information and directions you can visit the campaign website at www.votephu.com
I love the wasted enthusiasm. This seat won’t turn. It’s a matter of numbers. Mansoor has the endorsements, the money and the political edge in this District. This race is over. Might be worthwhile to funnel some of that money into a closer race.
The election is in November.
Pete has no idea
1. How popular Phu is in the Vietnamese community, which usually votes Republican;
2. How enthusiastic Democrats in the district (and all around California) are about Phu; and
3. How much a. Latinos and b. unions justifiably hate Mansoor.
At worst it will be very close.
And Phu has a primary challenger in June. A real goofball Trannie pretending to be a Democrat – Joe Dovinh. I may write about him, just for fun. But the primary will help get Phu’s name out wider outside the Viet community so I think it’s good.
Jim, this election is June. If you think November matters, look at the numbers again. This is a red seat. The Dems are not targeting this seat and therefore, won’t waste much money on it. The unions have other battles to fight so don’t expect much money there. Vern may be right that it may be close, but not that close. Mansoor elected in November.
Dear Mr. Vern Nelson / Bloggers:
If you are going to write about me, it might be a good idea to get to know me better. I can be reached at (714) 548-8289. I don’t appreciate the name-calling– it’s rather childish.
Sincerely,
Joe Dovinh
Joe,
You are not fooling anyone. We all know you were put up as a candidate by the Trannies. Nice try, but no cigar.
Pete,
Remember when the 34th Senate District was a red seat too, until Joe Dunn kicked out Rob Hurtt?
Joe, you’re right, I shouldn’t have called you a goofball before talking to you, just the first impression one gets from reading and asking around. For example, when you added up the votes you got in the different races you ran on, to brag that you got the most votes of any Viet candidate beside Van Tran (as Bolsavik figured out.) And your ballot designation as “Communications Media Businessman” when you’re a court translator (as Prevatt pointed out.) Or that you’re running as a Democrat when you supported McCain, Palin, and Dina Nguyen in ’08, and all my Viet friends tell me you spend half your time hanging out at Van Tran’s office. Maybe we can sort all that out though.
Thanks for the contact info, I’ll call you some time next week, I have a lot of questions to ask you. (Mainly about how you are a Democrat, and how you might be a better choice for OC Democrats than Phu?)
