The early results are in…and it doesn’t look good for Carlos Bustamante. He is way back in the pack, behind the two Nguyens and Tom Umberg. These are the early absentee votes, so let’s see what happens as the night rolls on. I did receive a call from the Trung campaign saying that they are confident he is going to win. What do they know that we don’t?
I also heard from an Umberg insider that he thinks he is going to lose. I must agree with that sentiment.

John Lewis: Aye Dios! No se puede!
Lupe Moreno: What? Lewis is a Mexican? Come here punk (puts Lewis in a headlock and starts to punch him in the face)
Carlos Bustamante: Oh no! Stop her Mark!
Mark Leyes: (Groans and sits up. For some reason he has been sleeping in the corner, covered with newspapers and cheesy McDonalds wrappers). Uhhhh…(makes unintelligible sounds)
Rosie Avila: Oh forget Mark, he is in some kind of queso coma! Lupe – the spirit of God compels you! (Sith lighting comes out of her fingers and blasts Lupe into oblivion)
Carlos Bustamante: Aye! Aliens! (Pulls out his space commander pistol and starts wildly blasting up the place, missing everyone except for poor Jim Silva, who stumbles in while chasing a squirrel and ends up paying a bitter price)
John Lewis: Never mind me – Carlos killed Jim! Get him Mark!
Mark Leyes: Get in my belly Carlos!
And so it goes…
Umberg numbers took the biggest jump with 34/179 precincts reporting. It’s not over.
