Santa Ana, CA – Supporters of Cecilia “Ceci” Iglesias, the first Independent Candidate for U.S. Congress to earn a position on the ballot in the history of Orange County are announcing a “Campaign March” outside KOCE TV station, for Monday October 11, 2010 at 4:00 p.m. Over 400 supporters have confirmed to be present and we expect more in numbers to be added. KOCE Station has excluded Cecilia Iglesias from a televised debate scheduled for this coming Wednesday, October 13th.
Iglesias, a candidate for the 47th Congressional District faces Democrat Loretta Sanchez and Republican Van Tran on November 2nd. Iglesias successfully gathered 11,000 votes to qualify to have her name placed on the ballot but KOCE TV has decided not to allow her to participate in the debate.

You can count on me to walk that demonstration. I can’t believe KOCE, is descriminating Cecilia Iglesias in this debate. As a voter, I demand KOCE to offer her the same opportunity as the other two candidates. SHAME ON KOCE. KOCE you have LOST my respect and I shall no longer support your station!
Cecilia is right, there are “Three” Candidates in this debate. Good for you Cecilia for challenging Van Tran and Loretta! What are they so afraid off?
Cecilia you earned your position as a candidate by gathering all of the 11,000 signatures and “yes” you need to be given an opportunity.
Cecilia needs to be given the opportunity to debate!
They call themselves public broadcasters? How did KOCE become the ones who decides our choices? Lets face it…Tran is a non-player in this heavily democratic Latino district. The reason Cecilia is not being invited it that Loretta Sanchez is SCARED of her! Plain and simple….
I want Ceci in the debates! I want to see how much she “disagrees” with Tran!
Plain and Simple, let all Three Candidates Debate!
KOCE has every right to choose their guests. Cecilia Iglesias is not a viable candidate.
