Didn’t California’s voters pass Prop. 215 a few years ago, making medicinal marijuana use legal? You would not know that if you live in Orange, where Nature’s Wellness Collective was recently raided by cops, who stole their inventory of medicinal marijuana.
“Bob Adams, owner of the dispensary on , said Drug Enforcement Agency agents toting AK-47 automatic rifles raided the facility March 4. Adams, 44, said his marijuana was confiscated and he was detained and taken to the DEA offices in Santa Ana, where he was questioned for three hours and then released. No charges were filed against him,” according to the O.C. Register.
Why did these DEA cops need automatic rifles? And if Adams was such a criminal, why were charges not filed? And why did the City of Orange give him a business license when city officials knew that he was going to sell pot?
The O.C. Register is running a poll asking whether marijuana should be legal and 71% of the responses say that it should be legal for all uses, while 16% say it should be used medicinally only and 12% say it should not be legal.
I don’t support recreational use of marijuana. Studies show that it can have many negative affects on users. But I wholeheartedly support medicinal use of marijuana. That is how most of us voted a few years ago. Shame on the feds for disrespecting our wishes! I hope that will change when Senator Barack Obama becomes our next President.

Well I’ll go farther Art, I support recreational use. Even though I don’t enjoy it personally, it really helps some folks mellow out and take things more lightly, which is good for society!
Certainly as long as alcohol (my poison of choice) is legal, folks should be allowed to smoke all the pot they want. When’s the last time you’ve seen a fight break out, or a car accident [very rarely], or an abusive family situation, on account of marijuana?
The worst thing I’ve seen is some people get lazy and forgetful. Well, that’s OK, if that gets out of hand, I’d probably rather work with someone else professionally, but like many things it’s fine in moderation.
And right, we gotta put the kibosh on these Jack-Booted Thugs before it’s too late! First they come for the Muslims and the pot smokers, then who’s gonna stand for us? or however it goes…

Federal Law which conflicts directly with the California Initiative…..the County of Orange
has approved Mary Jane ID cards…
While Marijuana Dispensing….in
the County is….what? Allowed,

What needs to be done is: License
Doctors Directly, have them pay a
yearly fee….to Dispense Mary Jane
to their patients. If the doctors
want to challenge the Federal Law
against Mary Jane…well, now we
are talking. What about Hemp lunch
bags for kids? They can take their
lunch to school…and after school
roll and smoke their lunch bag!

So long as state and federal laws are in opposition, it is a no win for local laws. Just let it go unless you are willing to get to the feds.
I have no real opinion on the actual use of it – other than that the kids tend to overuse whether it it is legal or not. Did you know that if you use marijuana (even legally) that the insurance companies can deny you treatment for other things?? Is the pot worth it…maybe for some older sick people – but that is not who you see at the dispenaries. BELIEVE ME.
