I took it upon myself to find the time to read the entire report “The Rubber Stamp Process: Broken Governance in Planning and Development and How Communities Can Regain a Voice,” released by OCCORD about a week and a half ago. As a guest host of the Santa Ana-based internet show “SolArt Radio” I spoke at length on Tuesday with a lead author, Robert Nothoff, and a contributing author, Carolina Sarmiento, about the methodology and findings that led them to conclude that a ‘Rubber Stamp’ process is in full effect in Santa Ana and Anaheim. The conversation lasted about 35-40 minutes and will be the centerpiece of the next episode of SolArt Radio. The audio will also be made available or linked to from this blog.

Last I heard Carolina Sarmiento was not that happy with the Artists Village. She should not be a stranger. The village is not what it used to be or what many would like to think it is. There is an underground there.
