Surprisingly there are quite a few Democratic Party leaders in Orange County who don’t think their endorsed supervisorial candidate, Hoa Van Tran, poses a problem, despite the fact that his campaign manager, Edgardo Reynoso, has tanked their campaign by hiring cholos, two of whom were recently arrested for attempted murder.
There is however a VERY good reason to oppose Van Tran and Reynoso, and I am not just referring to the fact that a young lady who used to work for the Van Tran campaign was granted a temporary restraining order against Reynoso after he tried to run her off the freeway.
Let’s take a look at a major story that just broke in Lynwood, where “Gang investigators with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department have arrested a Lynwood city official on suspicion of felonies, including being an accessory to robbery and possessing a stolen handgun, a department spokesman said,” according to the L.A. Times.
Here are a few more pertinent excerpts from the L.A. Times article:
According to a law enforcement source familiar with the investigation, Adams was arrested in connection with a case targeting the East Coast Crips street gang. Several members and associates of the gang were wanted on charges including murder, attempted murder of a police officer, bank robbery and weapons violations.
When sheriff’s gang investigators served search warrants, including one on Adams’ Long Beach home, they found a loaded 9-millimeter handgun and photographs of Adams with armed gang members, the source said.
The source, who asked not to be identified because he was not authorized to speak about the raid, said Adams was wanted as an accessory to crimes in which she allegedly provided rental vehicles for use by criminal suspects.
Do you see the parallels? What IF Van Tran somehow got elected? At some point he would likely make Reynoso his chief of staff. And what a staff it would be! Van Tran’s office would quickly look like cholo central. And then we would be treated to the spectacle of seeing his staffers arrested one by one as their gang affiliations got them in trouble.
As I have written before, Van Tran is the single biggest threat to the Democratic Party of Orange County. He is a walking disaster. ANY other candidate would have fired Reynoso a long time ago. Clearly he agrees with Reynoso with regard to hiring cholos. Van Tran is a clear and present danger to us all.
I feel sorry for Van Tran. He’s so inexperienced thst I doubt he knows what to do here. Nevertheless, if his failure to take control of the situation is from inexperience or approval the end result is the same. He has through inaction created a lack of confidence in his candidacy.
NASA’s Phoenix spacecraft landed in the northern polar region of Mars today to begin three months of examining a site chosen for its likelihood of having frozen water within reach of the lander’s robotic arm.
I am sure Mr. Pedroza that such event is more important than Mr. Hoa Van Tran, Gangsters and Lynwood.
#2,
Well, the Mars lander story is buried on page 15 of today’s O.C. Register. While the same paper features interviews with Hoa, Dina and Supervisor Nguyen. It looks like our blog is in agreement with the major newspaper in town as to the importance of the First District race as compared to the Mars Lander story.
That said, I do applaud those involved in the latest successful Mars Lander project. It will be interesting to review the findings of this mission. Could their be life on Mars, albeit of a microscopic nature? Was their life on Mars that may have become extinct? What role has water played on the red planet? Time will tell.

Perhaps that may be the underline reason for the US economic failure, Mr. Pedroza. Same as the ocean — the one who dominates cosmos is the number one. Spain was once such a leader until it too start thinking like you Mr. Pedroza and look how insignificant Spain is today.
Soon Mr. Pedroza, your background will be insignificant twice. Once for failed Spain and Second for failed USA with Spanish like thinking population.
