Is College Football fixed?

You know…you sit down and watch endless hours of college football on Game Day.  Lee Corso says that LSU will defeat Alabama……he has called 19 games and determined the winner of every one!  Coincidence?  Not likey!  Great psychic ability?  Don’t think so!  Able to see through every X and O and figure out who has the advantage?  No way!

When you think on it, college football has outgrown its fan base.  It used to be that LSU or Alabama fans either went to those schools or had kids or familiy or close friends attend one of the two universities.  Then those schools went National and Bear Bryant put Alabama football on the map.  Then you had Knute Rockne before Bear make Notre Dame the great icon of College Football.  Jim Thorpe the great Olympian had all of his medals taken away…..because he was supposed to have played a football game for his Tribal Team and took $10 dollars.  If the truth were known, Jim Thorpe refused to sell out and point shave games.  Because he refused to play that game….those wonderful guys whose decendants now run the BCS drummed him out of College Sports and even did all they could to kick him out of Professional Sports.

All in all, the Billions of dollars spent on and with College Football has tainted the process beyond our wildest dreams.  UCLA beat Arizona State for example.  Rather improbable in our opinion.  Oklahoma State bearly beats Kansas State?  Hmmm.  Michigan loses.  The beat goes on.  Rigging the winners and losers in College Sports has been going on for many years.  It probably began in earnest back in the 30’s when College Basketball attracked the interest of Professional Gamblers.  Today, the Las Vegas line of pluses or minuses on every college game has to tell us something.

Errant calls by officials, calls that only go against one team or another continues to astound.  Even with so-called “instant reply” five calls are missed for every one that is made properly.  Ranting more will not help.  Many of you out there will never believe that college or Professional Sports are rigged.  We will just cut to the chase and say: “They are rigged!”
