A pajarito is reporting that former OC GOP State Assemblywoman Lynn Daucher is planning to run against State Senator Lou Correa again in 2010. He was elected by a very slim margin in 2006.
I wonder if the recent scandal about the money Correa accepted from noted “Talibani” Republican Howard Ahmanson, who is funding a ballot measure to overturn gay marriage in California, will blow up in Correa’s face – given that Daucher is socially more liberal than Correa. Daucher would not likely take Ahmanson’s money.
I hope Daucher does run again. But she better make up with Supervisor Janet Nguyen, who supported Daucher in 2006 but was marginalized by Assemblyman Van Tran – who has now lost a series of races as his Trannies have gone down in flames to Nguyen repeatedly.
As for Correa, he still is in trouble with the Vietnamese community, especially after his brother in law, Edgardo Reynoso, tanked unsuccessful supervisorial candidate Hoa Van Tran’s campaign with a plethora of cholo staffers.
Round two between Correa and Daucher should be very interesting…
God, she looks like a vietnamese man in a bad blue sport coat in that picture!
Daucher ran a much better campaign than Lou in ’06. I expect she has a better shot to win than last time. I counted her out back then, but in this election I will give her serious consideration.

She looks possibly ill – an eating disorder maybe?
